I thought Luke and Leia were different ages too. So long as it’s not explicitly mentioned, that detail can change too. Also I’m a bit confused as to why Luke and Leia had to be twins in the first place, and not just siblings.

If they weren’t twins, how would you explain that Vader didn’t know his wife was pregnant not once but twice? He didn’t know about Leia.

Good point, honestly I haven’t fully thought this through, but I also don’t think he’d not have to know his wife was pregnant twice. He could have been well aware of Luke’s birth, nothing in the first two movies implies he wasn’t (George even altered the dialogue in ESB to change that!), plus that would make the “Your father wanted you to have this” not an outright lie. He may have been led to believe Luke had died in a Jedi purge.

Silverwook’s explanation alleviated my confusion, but I still think making Leia a Skywalker was a mistake.

It’s strongly suggested in the Star Wars To Jedi:The Making of a Saga documentary that Leia being the sister was invented at the last minute, to give Luke a motivation to go nuts on Vader.

IIRC, twins who don’t know they’re related goes back to ancient mythology, which Lucas studied.

I really hope that it’s just a marketing thing that they’re overblowing in the trailers, but it’s still annoying.

I just get the sneaking suspicion that some exec thought, “Wow, that Baby Groot scene at the end of the first one was a real sleeper hit! Everyone loved it!” then saw the dollar signs and said, “Now, what if he was a baby the WHOLE MOVIE?!”

The poster is literally this:

In all fairness to The Mask, they didn’t put Milo the dog on there until it hit home video. He did almost steal the movie though.

How do long distance communication work in the star wars universe?
Time

Communication in Rogue One isn’t instantaneous enough to call off the rebel attack on the weapons facility in time. There could be a delay of several minutes between receipt and reply. In the real world, there was a delay of a couple seconds between Earth and Apollo crews on the Moon.

Krennic was trying to plead his case in person, (going over Tarkin’s head) something that would be less effective otherwise. There’s also the possibility that Imperial officers spy on each other and eavesdrop on communications, making it more imperative that he have a private audience with Vader.

If anything, communications are too sophisticated in the prequels. We only saw one case of a long distance hologram call in the OT. And such communication probably requires a lot of power.

OOOOOT, The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Clone Wars (CGI Cartoon, Chronological). Whatever fan edit for PT, I dunno.
I don’t own any Star Wars movies in any form. Just the custom cuts since to me it’s worthless to spend money on them. Not much of a fan anymore but I will buy the movie tickets. No, no merchandise either.

Seriously?

Awesome poster and then they decided to put a stupid black frame around it and then throw in an even more stupid Baby Groot photoshopped floating head.

So far, Baby Groot looks like the worst part of that movie purely because they keep pulling his scenes out to use for marketing because he’s so adorable and cute and hilarious! Look at him doing things that are funny because he’s so little!

It’s some Jar Jar Binks shit.

Never in a million years is Baby Groot going to be like Jar Jar.

There are a few MSTK Gamera movies too, correct?

and a Mothra one if i recall correctly

Mothra was in the second Godzilla movie they did. Riffrax did the original Mothra film in theaters last year.

MST3K did five giant flying turtle movies in all. (Twice if you count the KTMA season.) I wish they had gotten their hands on the truly awful Gamera Super Monster from 1980, but Sandy Frank didn’t buy up that one.

I dare someone to put Gamera vs. the Imperial Stardestroyer ripoff in their fan edit. 😉

Beauty knows no pain, and it’s not a joke.

Donald J. Trump uses hair loss medication that causes mental confusion, anger, mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and even suicidal tendencies.

Just the kind of drug you want the guy that is in charge of our nukes to be taking.

There are certain safeguards in place to keep this from being as simple as someone walking in and pushing a button. I mean you talk like he’s the only one with the codes and the combination to the toilet paper safe they’re kept in, LOL.

I’m also glad to see making fun of people who take medication and suffer from side effects is still alive and well. It makes me feel like dancing.

😃

That scene in The Dead Zone would seem to bear that out. 😉
