Tempted to get it just to see if the Falcon actually makes an appearance.

- “Why should I give a crap what loonies on the IMDB think? The only thing worse is youtube comments.”
I guess the message boards being closed down didn’t impede things over there very much.
Well they are correct. Whether that warrants caring or not, is up to each person of course.
I still don’t give a crap. We have enough opinions here without importing them from one of the worst sites for such things.
P.S.: number 4’s title is hilarious 😄
Ah yes, “The Fart Awakens And Stinks up The Galaxy Far Far Away” is quite the comedic gem.
…Says the guy who made “The Ridiculous Menace”, “Attack Of The Ridiculousness” and “Revenge of the Ridiculousness” 😃
Also the guy who fanedited Austin Powers to remove the fart jokes, among other things. 😉

It’s rough but here’s a very nice video on how a Rogue One crawl could have looked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa-gaZLbeg0
I can’t listen to it with the sound on at the moment, but just by looking at the text I’m glad that particular crawl wasn’t in the movie. What a jumbled mess. The final paragraph is almost comically long, and the whole thing is peppered with sudden shifts from active to passive voice, baffling word choices, improper comma usage, and confusing exposition.
Sounds familiar…

Maybe they should have give the Gecko his own series.
The cavemen still occasionally pop up in the ads.
That’s an awful lot of cake. It should at least resemble a giant version of this.

Embattled Fox News host Bill O’Reilly announced tonight that he is taking a vacation. O’Reilly’s decision to go off the air in the midst of a sexual harassment scandal and advertiser boycott arguably has the appearance of a suspension, but O’Reilly worked to dispel that notion. He announced that he’d scheduled his trip “last fall” — well before the New York Times reported he paid $13 million to settle harassment claims. A Fox News spokesperson confirmed O’Reilly will return on April 24.
But according to four network sources, there’s talk inside Fox News that tonight’s show could be his last. Lawyers for the law firm Paul, Weiss, hired last summer by 21st Century Fox to investigate Roger Ailes, are currently doing a “deep dive” investigation into O’Reilly’s behavior. They’re focused now on sexual harassment claims by O’Reilly guest Wendy Walsh after she reported her claims via the company’s anonymous hotline.
The funny thing is that his ratings are up. I should be surprised that people like sexual harassers, but then again we elected a pussy grabber as President.
Some people also love to watch an unfolding train wreck. O’Reilly’s tv career is probably toast either way.
United is going to have to cough up millions in a lawsuit, or just to make this mess go away quickly. I hope Mr. Dao takes them to the cleaners.
Yet another questionable movie that has received more love than the OT on Blu Ray.

I’ll gladly watch Manos uncut, but this one might require lots of alcohol. 😉

And if this was not what the hell?! enough for you, the actual movie has spaceship footage from Battlestar Galactica.
Was that even on for more than two weeks?
The best source we have for the mono is a 16mm print. A 35mm would sound even better if one ever turns up. The mix itself is not of low quality. Ben Burtt and company spent more time on it than the stereo and 70mm even.
Damn. Freeze Frame was probably one of the first music videos I ever saw. MTV wasn’t even on the air yet.

Centerfold and Love Stinks are also classics.
Neat!I think this was the one he had.

It did a neat little power down sequence with flashing decimal points if left on unattended. Curiously, there was a small port molded into the side of the case that looked a lot like a phone jack, but nothing actually in there to connect to.
To steer this back towards Star Wars, I saw more than a few homebrew Vader costumes in the early days where the chest plate was an old calculator. 😉
Some of the more exotic calculator designs of the 70’s turned up as props on various SF shows of the era.
FFS, is that any way to treat an American citizen and a NASA employee?
Oh, that explains it…I did not say I condone it nor did I say why it is being done. I discussed only the possibilities I know of from my own experiences. Now yes, I understand, I’ve been told my prior experience means shit here. Maybe their own agencies have asked for tighter scrutiny when their employees leave and come back in to the country. They have security clearance concerns too. Top secret projects, black ops projects, none of which any of us controls.
😃
I don’t think NASA has any black ops stuff going on. The NASA years of my father’s long career is the only time where I have the clearest picture of what he did for a living. As for the rest, he could have been fighting Nazis on the Moon for all I really know.
My Dad had a slide rule and a fancy Texas Instruments calculator with many arcane buttons on it. 😉
There’s putting your foot in your mouth, and then there’s swallowing your entire leg. Sean might want one of his old jobs back, if only for this weekend.

FFS, is that any way to treat an American citizen and a NASA employee?

Oh, that explains it…
16mm theatrical prints were also made for smaller venues like colleges. A guy I used to know worked at a campus theater. They were also sent to military bases around the world.
$500 bucks for a pan and scan print of The Black Hole is crazy though. 😉
Where was it said non Jedi ever used sabers?
Han beat a dead Tauntaun with one, and considered slicing up a net with one (which is really all your average person could accomplish today with a cutlass). And if you’re including the ST, Finn actually fought with one.
Historically speaking as opposed to carrying another type of laser weapon. If laser swords are all the galaxy had as hand weaponry “for a thousand generations”, then technological development in the Star Wars universe took a very strange path.
The Jedi are supposed to be like Samurai. They probably had swords with physical blades early in their history.
Some people didn’t get the memo that Finn was a rookie who was in his first combat situation. 😉
Where was it said non Jedi ever used sabers?
I’ll keep that in mind for future purchases. 😉
