Neat idea! (Especially since *Battle For Endor uses deleted scenes from ROTJ.) How do you plan to deal with the aspect ratios? I don’t think there’s ever been a widescreen release of the Ewok movies.

Dunno why some people expected an OOT release. The vast majority of people I speak to don’t even know there’s different versions, and releasing them around the same time as TLJ would be sort of pointless.
Which means it’s kind of left up to us to raise awareness as always.

If a joke about Lucas or any other SW personality is in questionable taste, best to not go there. I know some people need to vent, but there are better ways to express your frustration.

Sadly I don’t have a twitter. There was a image prepared that we could use elsewhere wasn’t there? It was modeled on the old toy box?
The open letter is still being worked on. I think it would be more effective if it was posted on May 25th, the actual 40th anniversary. It’s likely to get lost in the TLJ trailer drop and other hoopla this weekend.

Okay, cool kids who do the twitter thing, depending on which way the wind is blowing tomorrow, who do we tweet a response at? Disney, Lucasfilm, or both?
I’m thinking of saving the open letter thing for the actual 40th anniversary next month.@ both of them and say something to the effect of:
“Celebrating the 40th anniversary of 1977’s Star Wars would mean something if we could actually watch it.”
It’s short, it’s sweet, I like it! 😃
