Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

The one landing on Coruscant is supposed to be the Falcon. Whether it had that name at the time is anyone’s guess. There are three similar ships seen in AOTC when the refugee transport lands on Naboo.

The argument against the Falcon being new is we don’t see similar ships anywhere else in the OT. There can’t be many left still operating. Even the Rebellion doesn’t have a YT in it’s fleet of old beat up ships.
The wear and tear probably accumulates faster when you’re doing smuggling for the likes of Jabba.

Remember how ATTACK OF THE CLONES changed Slave I’s colour-scheme to include a lot of BLUE compared to how it looked years later in ESB?

Well, it seems like the Falcon’s exterior is also getting a similar make-over in this new HAN SOLO movie…along with some new ‘cargo-hauling’ action -

And where are they getting their info from? I can’t imagine Lucasfilm disregarding that the Falcon had a cameo in ROTS.

Kenner toyed with the idea of a ship that docked in the front of the Falcon, but it never made it past the prototype.

I liked the idea the MF had a history before even Lando owned it. It certainly wasn’t a brand new ship in the Lando novels. Maybe we’ll finally see the elusive escape pods mentioned in the original film?

Diamonds wasn’t even explicitly rogue I don’t think.

They kept some continuity with the ending of OHMMSS. He was out for revenge on Blofeld, period. It wasn’t an explicit mission. M lightly chastised him about getting back to work after Blofeld’s apparent demise, but otherwise let it slide.
This was a bit nasty, even for Sean’s Bond.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **

How would Palpatine know what Vader said to Luke at Cloud City? He might sense a change in Vader post Bespin, but not necessarily a I want to kill you and rule the galaxy with my kid vibe.
We also don’t know if Vader and Palpatine have even been in the same room between films. ROTJ strongly suggests Vader has just been ordered away from his pursuit of Luke to speed up the DS construction.

Eh, I haven’t seen much (if any) love for Licence to Kill. I’d say that one’s pretty widely regarded as bad, or at least a misstep.

I think it’s been reappraised in some circles as we’ve had grittier 007 outings since then. And aside from the opening of Diamonds Are Forever it’s the only time we’ve seen Bond truly going rogue.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Signing on to a Star Wars project is a massive commitment. Years out of one’s life. An intense period of preparation, then relocating to England for the duration of the shoot. One reason Abrams initially balked at taking on TFA was either be away from his family or uproot them and bring them along.
Getting sacked from a Star Wars film is probably as mentally devastating as losing a presidential election. Even more so if you’ve been a life long fan. Who in their right mind is going to want that level of stress knowing the axe is constantly hanging over your neck?

I agree some folks take it too far. There are instances where well preserved 35mm theatrical prints prove some modern video masters are cocked up. Old home video masters were optomized for crappy analog televisions and as much as I love Laserdiscs, about the only thing that they’re good for as a reference these days are original theatrical sound mixes.
