What’s sad is I find out about this from a post in a Stanley Kubrick FB group.
They look like indy comic book covers from the 1980’s. I could see a legal reason for avoiding art that looks too much like Cap or Shazam, (even if those old serials are public domain) but the others are a head scratcher.
I have a copy! I’ll have to look through it and see if there’s anything of note.

Fascinating! And yet Obi Wan seems to be looking at Anakin. So did they re-purpose one of Sir Alec’s costumes or whip something up for Shaw in a hurry?
Since it’s obvious in one photo that Shaw was never as tall as Prowse, I presume the switch occurs after Vader slumps to the ground on the shuttle ramp.
On a side note, I wonder if the book that only came out bundled with the 12 inch Shaw Anakin figure might have some rare pix in it? Anybody have a copy?

Here’s a poser for you all, do any BTS photos of Sebastian Shaw as Anakin exist? There are plenty in the Vader costume and makeup, but I’ve never seen one in the Jedi robes. Were Shaw and Sir Alec shot together or separately?

A rogue moon that’s not orbiting anything is also a possibility. The main thing is nobody can imagine there’s a space station that big in existence, (except for Kenobi) therefore it’s gotta’ be a moon.
It’s never said in the movie whether Alderaan had a moon or not. By the time they pursue the TIE fighter they are out of the debris field and potentially near the orbit of another planet. It’s possible that Han and Chewie have never been to the system before, (Luke certainly hasn’t) and we don’t know if Obi Wan ever visited there either.
I sometimes forget how physically and mentally grueling ESB must have been for Mark. Buried in snow, repeatedly slapped by a Wampa hand on a pole, dunked in a giant aquarium, weeks if not months on a mudhole of a set with only Artoo, a rubber Muppet and various live reptiles to act opposite of. Not to mention the Vader duel!
On top of all that, he and his wife were expecting their first child during production. That’s stressful enough without being the lead in a Star Wars film to worry about.
