still no luck with the ebay seller. Still no replies and still no model. I've now put a claim into paypal but god knows how long that is going to take. one things that i did notice though is that he no longer has any items for sale after i emailed him saying that if he didn't reply this time i was putting in a claim. people have received items that they purchased from him after i won the falcon so why the hell is he ignoring me and hasn't sent my model? maybe he's a trekkie. lol. but this has set me back a bit now

A true Trekkie would have better morals than that fraud. ;) Hope you can get that sorted out- was the transaction insured for $200 or $2000 (or the equivilent amounts)? And how much was the actual purchase? I had an issue with an xbox seller for $250, but as it was only insured for $200 I only got that much back.

I realized that the 'story' and dialogue of the trailer work absolutely brilliantly.  Sure the trailer is a nice display case for his sfx work, but the trailer would still be outstanding even if he made it with the untouched GOUT or the 2004 DVD's.

I agree. Every person I've showed it to wants to go back and watch Empire again. :)

I like the idea of a comparison trailer, but that might take a lot of editing. If someone's up to it though, that would be awesome.

Curiously Ady, why did you move Obi-Wan's head closer to the center? I mean, taken as it is, it makes more sense for the shot, but if it's a back-and-forth between him and Luke, then from a filmmaker's perspective having him on the right is better. In the corresponding shots of Luke, is Luke on the left side? If not, then it isn't as big an issue. Generally speaking though, you don't want stuff behind the actor when he's looking off-screen in the opposite direction- makes the audience nervous, as if there's stuff we should be looking at in the empty space.

It's sometimes a little disheartening to show clips like these to people who haven't put any thought into the subject. The geenral response, I've found, is "Looks a little better, I guess. What did he change?" Ah well- I find the level of meticulousness and effort to be incredible. And I also love that shot of cloud city- so... pretty...

Just finished downloading the trailer, and I loaded it up on my 5.1 system.

WOW. I would have waited all that time for the shot of cloud city alone. And the rest of it is just beautiful. 720p is so pretty! o_o I love the retracting landing pads, and the skies all look so nice. Great touch with all the retreating ships in the Bespin sky.

I can see the grain, but as previously discussed this apparently isn't an issue.

Curiously, what is changed in the shot where Leia fires at the stormtrooper? Is it the blast itself? Angel mentioned a "subtle window frame", but I have no idea what that refers to. :P

Edit: *looks closely* Did you actually sneak in a literal window frame over on the right? I totally missed it! Nice eyes, Angel!

Incredible job, Ady- 2010 now seems so much farther away. I guess I'll have to settle for watching this with the subwoofer all the way up until then. :D
