I always remembered it being called Aurabesh, so I looked it up and found Aurabesh, Aurebesh and the Aurekbesh/Aurek Besh/Aurek-Besh that everyone here is saying. Ha! :p

I honestly couldn't remember which it was, so I googled 'star wars alphabet' and wrote down the first hit- in this case, Aurek-Besh. Lol.

ErikStormtrooper has the Engli-Besh font - normal English characters drawn in AurekBesh style.  Maybe that would be a good way to do the dialogue without resorting to subtitles?

I was under the impression that we don't actually know what Artoo is saying, so although we would now see the letters, it would still be on-screen only, not subtitles. We would have to do the translating separately, which would be fun. :P

has anyone noticed that when luke's in his ship and R2's talking and the dialogue shows up on his translator, u can't read it? i know Vaderios did a naboo mock up of it, but can we fix it so we know wat R2 is saying?

That was the first thing I ever suggested on this thread.  Ady says that he will be stabilizing the text, but I'm sure he'll also give us an actual translation.  Which means that someone has to come up with lines for R2-D2.

i've already redone the readout for R2's lines using the basic font. There is now a real conversation going on but i'll leave that up to someone else to translate cuz i'm keeping that secret. its more fun that way. lol

Yay!  I went through ANHR once and translated all of the text to english.  This time, I hope its more than your kids' names over and over again. ;-)

Hahaha! I never knew that! It will indeed be a lot of fun to see what Ady sticks in there now. Anyone else have the Star Wars SE Monopoly manual, with the Aurek-Besh on the back?

I like the idea of fading the rear walker a bit, but at the same time I understand Ady's stance on it. The main issue here is to keep Luke and the center walker as the primary point of interest. If the other walkers all look similar, it will be hard to immediately focus on Luke. This is, of course, assuming that the viewer has not seen the movie before and doesn't know what to look for in that shot.

Praxis explosion ftw. I wonder if all the starwars-only anti-trek fans know that Lucas included a Trekkish special effect in the SE? :P The irony is glorious.

Edit: I didn't see Ady's post. So... are we saying that the SE explosion was from SG-1, or the ANH:R one was?

no, the falcon & TIEs will be added later. it just needs to be pretty large to get the feeling of scale and long enough for the flight path for 4 shots. any smaller and it won't look too good. I'll be including all the filming and creating in the making of doc for the DVD

Cool. Is there going to be enough room on the dvd for a documentary? I mean, the special features last time were relatively short, as I remember. Was that for size reasons, or just by coincidence?

@ Adywan,

Instead of smashing the sets once you are done creating them...why don't you auction them off to your fans here??

I am sure that some of us would be more than happy to 'own' a piece of history in the Star Wars Revisited Timeline!!

Is that legal?

We will make it legal!

I was just thinking that! Made me laugh. : )

nice idea.

So here's the first one......

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Wow. That is one damn pretty image. It has the feel of epicness and grandness that was always missing from those early "foggy" shots. I have a feeling it will become a weekly activity to look at the image, then pull out the 2004 DVDs and compare that frame. Thanks!

Edit: And on a curious note, where exactly is that shot? I can't place it off the top of my head, and I'd rather not watch the entire first half-hour. : )

2010- I must have missed the previous dating, but based off all the changes, I think I can wait that long. :P

It will be interesting to see what Ady does to ROTJ. Personally, I hope he doesn't kill one of the main characters, but it's his edit, and therefore completely his choice. If he does kill Lando, I'm wondering how he'll pull it off. o_0

There's one timeline. A lot of prequel books have been written since that article, so it's pretty evenly balanced out on either side now.

Edit: And here is a much more detailed timeline, featuring every EU item for each time period. This one overwhelms even myself, and I've read most of the novels.

It's "Gaff" from Blade Runner, yes.  Also played "Bill Adama" in Battlestar Galactica (2003).  We should totally insert him into RotJ as an A-wing pilot.  That would be the most awesome thing ever.

Yes.

Lando: "We'll last longer than we will against that Death Star.  And we might just take a few of them with us!"

Over the comm: "So say we all!"

Yes! Omfg yes! :D You sir, just made my day.
