STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>

As far as I'm concerned, that that ship is in ANH:SE (and ANH:R) means only that a ship that looks like that is in ANH:SE/R. It has nothing to do with the canonical status of the Outrider or Dash Whatshisface. I don't mind these things as "shout outs", and don't care if Ady inserts it unobtrusively, but as far as I'm concerned that the Outrider is at Mos Eisley is no more significant than that an Imperial Shuttle is seen in Firefly.

2) After the generator on Hoth is blown up, is it possible to make the lights dim momentarily in the corridor that Han is rushing through, to show the instant before the emergency lights kick in? Or perhaps if possible add a reddish tint to the corridor scenes to indicate emergency power?

This would be awesome.  I thought it was strange that they lost their generator but they still seem to have full power...

Not necessarily.  The SHIELD generator got blown up.  POWER generators are something separate.  There's no reason to believe the two were physically connected.  Logically, they shouldn't be.

If the power generators failed and the shield generators were run by them, then the shield generators would turn off and the shield would be down.

Likewise the reverse - if the shield generators also provided power for everything else, then the whole base would go dark when the sheild generators were taken out.

By having the shield and power generators separate and independent, you're better off.  If the shield goes down, you've still got power to run your equipment.  And if power for the equipment goes down, then the shield is still protecting you while you work on restoring it.

That makes sense.  Maybe I was confused because Veers says "Prepare to target the main power generator"...

He says "main generator".

Oh, ok.  My fault.  Still, maybe an explosion that large might knock out main power, at least for a second.  My vote is still for lights flickering/dimming momentarily.  I wouldn't leave them off for the whole rest of the scene, as that would be too much work to have them constantly flickering or changed to red.  Besides, changing it to red would negate the color correction Ady is working on right now!

Veers does refer to the "power generator" in a different line: "Distance to power generator?" I think the flicker/dimming/whatever is a good idea.

On the subject of Yoda, I agree with Ady that the puppet by-and-large doesn't need any tweaking in terms of expression — I'd suggest, however, at least trying for say a short sequence to do something with the mouth to make it better timed with the dialogue and (perhaps perhaps) make it do a *little* more than just open and close. Other than the mouth, I'd leave it alone, but I'd like to at least see if anything is possible with the dialogue.

The only things that need an update tweak are the displays

On this subject I was wondering if you had any plans for the display in the Millennium Falcon when Han first mentions Lando. As it is we only see a glow reflected on the characters' faces. It's not exactly necessary in my mind but I don't think it would hurt — any thoughts?

Star Wars: REBORN - The Complete Saga (* unfinished project *)
Time

Okay, now I'm BEGGING anybody with the technical know-how and love of Star Wars to finish this project. It has so much potential. Even with the "unfinished" standard of the clips posted here it would be an amazing alternative way to watch the series. Music bleed, so minor it doesn't bother me. Colour continuity, a little simple grading would suffice for those quick shots. As far as salvaging the quality of the prequels, what you've done here is enough to satisfy all of us save those who despise the PT so much they would hate anything involving it.

...please...? I'd do it myself if I had the first idea about editing and the required technology.

Again, brilliant work. Lucas himself has said the films are in some ways like silent films, carried mostly visually and with music. Both these clips, unlike the prequels themselves, live up to this, and I think the silent-montage technique works really well. I'm not a fan of 'love scenes' in general, simply because I think they're almost impossible to do well and mostly they're unnecessary, but I think it works here.

It also shows just how much the perceived suckiness of the prequels was due to the dialogue. Revenge of the Sith is regarded by many including myself as the strongest of the three, and it had Tom Stoppard working on the script; similarly, The Empire Strikes Back is regarded as the best of the series, and Lucas doesn't get a script credit at all for that one, just a story one. George Lucas can create wonderful worlds and clever plots, but he can't write dialogue.

Finally, if you're referring to the 'jerky' slow-motion effect, I don't mind it. It was done in the original Empire Strikes Back and I think in a film such as Star Wars Reborn which relies on the film medium so much, it suits it better.

The part about the E3 scene not being available in HD is a good point. This is going to seriously limit your options when it comes to doing the PT — do you plan to do that in HD as well? Is the official PT available in HD? Are you banking on the films and/or deleted scenes becoming available between now and then? I'm particularly in favour of reinstating the scenes in ROTS that deal with the rise of the Rebellion.

How much of Dagobah's surface do we see? A few square miles, tops? Who's to say it's all the same, all covered in cloud? Real planets aren't all uniform, nor are most of the planets in the series. I don't mind you keeping the E5 Dagobah, especially if you're planning to reinstate that deleted scene in E3, but there's no continuity reason for not using it.

If the HD versions had been around a few years ago the ANH:R would have been HD too (and maybe once the saga is complete it will be)

So much for "I'm never going back to ANH:R" :p

You shouldn't tease us with such things, especially given the HUGE amount of work you've already committed yourself to.
