You shouldn't have to. Being in such close proximity to major volcanic activity would fry anyone's lungs. (Of course, if we're being realistic, both Obi-Wan and Vader should have been frying early on, but for all we know Vader was lying there for hours before Palpatine got to him.)

They fired at the Falcon when it escaped the DS in ANH too, even though they wanted it to get away.
I think the highest compliment I can give is that it was not until the third viewing that I noticed he was blinking.
I agree with ChainsawAsh about Yoda's eyes in this scene, and I think that's the cause of some others' comments that they should be more animated. The mouth work is 95% perfect (the other 5% is mostly what CA said about his teeth).
There's no need for a bombardment by that stage.
I would have liked to see the Empire pwn the Rebels with a huge attack — a big part of their philosophy is the en masse approach and inspiring fear — that's why they like big ships (miles-long Star Destroyers) and lots of them (TIES are cheap and disposable but they attack in hordes, as we see in ROTJ and now ANH:R).
But I understand Ady's point of view — from a story point of view, the Empire's even scarier if they can pwn the Rebels with just three walkers.

In fact, Boba Fett's name isn't ever mentioned in ESB, so you wouldn't need to remove references to "Jango" to maintain continuity. Still, I'd be in favour of doing so — partly because he's cooler without his name mentioned, and because many including myself would rather not see Boba's name changed.
