The Visual Effects Society Unveils “50 Most Influential Visual Effects Films of All Time”
Time
A decent list. I'm surprised to see T2 all the way down in 14th place, though. I agree that having Tron ahead of King Kong is a little odd, too, even if they're only separated by one place. Both were amazing in their time, though, and I still think Tron looks great! Nothing else looks like it, except for that new Honda Civic ad.

So that's why it's not yelling at me anymore! Thanks, Jay. Much appreciated! The PM limit and the avatar issue were the only things that really ever bugged me about the forums, anyway. So half of my beefs are taken care of! Haha.

Will the original 'Star Wars' ever be properly presented on DVD?

Well said. And by the same token, we know LFL loves to make money, as evidenced by the ad nauseum re-releases of the trilogy in whatever form, so I would never say the situation is beyond hope.

I always thought that was intended. It sort of goes along with the whole spacetrash vibe. That is one of my favorite things about the original trilogy- that 3PO and R2 and the Falcon are all old and sort of falling apart.

I've always wondere about that myself. Has anyone ever heard someone associated with LFL talk about whether that was intentional or not?

That sounds good. I'd like to see them. Will you try to make them sort of creator-specific, i.e. incorporating Darth Editous into it somehow? So many possibilities!

This link, and the next one with Elmo, don't seem to be working anymore. I would love to see them, so would it be possible for you or someone else to make new links available? Thanks.

I don't see the point, either. I'm running a P3 933mhz with XP and only 256mb RAM, and that's pretty low as it is. Vista would probably make my compy melt!

//RETURNING TO JEDI\\: NTSC & PAL DVD

Nice letter from Universal. You're really getting some notice with this one! It may lead to some big things.

I decided to get the NTSC version over at demonoid. I watched it with my mother last night and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Lots of laughs, insight and general expressions of being impressed over the way you put it all together. Thanks again for this great project!

I also agree that a JD (I always think of Scrubs when I see that) version of Star Wars would be great. Your style is so unique. Though "Deleted Magic" is great on its own, we'd all love to see what you would do with it. For one thing, I bet it would be longer, as DM cuts out a lot of the story, whereas you pretty much let it play through, letting the movie's audio play over top of behind-the-scenes footage. Nothing is missed that way.

I haven't downloaded the Demonoid torrent yet (the DL PAL version), but I have a question first. I did download the zip file with the IFO and BUP files in it. Do I download the torrent, then replace the appropriate files with the ones in the zip file entirely? I'd hate to overwrite something I shouldn't...

Sorry if this has been answered in detail, but I missed it.

I know I've mentioned something like this before, but how come Darth Editous' NTSC and PAL versions of his stuff look absolutely perfect? Is it because he's converting from source files on his computer, whereas this and other projects are converting from the movie already on a DVD? Sorry that I don't have the terms down, but maybe you'll know what I'm getting at anyway.
