Hmm, I'm seeing the one he has always used. Where are you seeing a new one?

Empty your browser's cache (or Ctrl+F5 for MSIE).

Thanks. I've never done that before. :p Is it something I should be doing regularly? (I delete cookies sometimes)

Boy, that makes me look computer illiterate, but it's just never come up before!

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

The thing is, some of the new stuff will be discussed in detail anyway, as it was with ANH: Revisited, so I doubt there will be any surprises I will be able to avoid...that are known to those reading this thread, that is. Heh heh hehhhh. ;)

I just hope that the majority of the new effects and, y'know, BIG surprises are kept a bit hush hush. I'm sure there will be a good balance.

This one is very interesting. Is there maybe a way to work this idea to be more integral to the plot a little bit? I wouldn't know what to do, perhaps suggest that the rebels on Hoth have stolen the new plans...or simply still have the old? Maybe Han/Chewie/Leia could end up with them, thereby making their capture of much more Imperial interest, instead of Vader abusing resources for his own personal reasons. Obviously we'll find out Vader's reasons later, but it'll tighten up the Imperial army's intentions a little bit. Possible?

Definitely interesting, but wouldn't that make the "many Bothans died..." statement meaningless? That would have to be removed or changed to fit with the new direction.

Well, I have one suggestion. Have you seen the "Star Wars vs. Saul Bass" video at YouTube? (http://youtube.com/watch?v=z25t-PQDn5A) I love it! Very upbeat jazz. According to the info, 'the song is "Machine" by the Buddy Rich Band off the album Big Swing Face (1967).'

I thought of a couple more, but they're more mellow than you'd probably want. I'll keep thinking, though! ;)

Hi! Does anyone want to send me the NTSC DVD-9 please?

Nice first post.....

Turns out I shouldn't have bothered offering. (you try to be NICE and *grumble grumble*...)

Since we should be telling people whether the ones we send to are willing to PIF to someone else afterwards, or are just looking for a handout, I figure I should tell you guys what has happened.

I said to the guy that if he can burn dual layers and is willing to send it to others after he gets his copy (the whole point of PIF), great! If not, I asked him to AT LEAST send me a dual layer disc for me to put it on. I didn't even mention the cost of materials and shipping to send it to him. I figured that was more than fair!

He says he can burn them, but doesn't have any. So then he says maybe someone who's sending ME a copy can also send me blanks to burn a copy for him!

Then he basically says "nevermind. You have discs and don't need people to send them to you." Excuse me? Has he been in my house? [even though I shouldn't need to say this] I've already told Adywan that I have TWO good dual layer discs and will need to buy another one to continue the PIF method. But this guy assumes I have lots and am looking for a handout.

If this guy wants a copy, let him go buy his own disc and download a torrent of it. He ended the whole stupid thing before it even began.

I feel the same. The humor in the prequels felt forced and cheap, whereas the humor in the OT - except for the childish nonsense in Jedi - really added to the characters. C-3P0 doesn't realize how annoying he can be, especially with Han and especially in dangerous situations. Really makes you feel for Han sometimes having to deal with him. He's a character that was funny right from the start and his annoyingness was amplified by Han because no one else really responded to him in such a way.

If only I had a clean dialogue track with no music the possibilities would be endless.

Oh man, if that ever surfaced, I think the amount of fan edits would triple overnight!

Anyway, I've been aware of this project for a while now, but have just finished reading through the thread. (I did the same with Star Wars: Revisited and it was fascinating!) Nice to see that your project is still ongoing. It's certainly one of the most interesting Star Wars edits I've ever heard of!

Are you guys still looking for cantina-like music and taking suggestions? I listen to a fairly wide variety of music and might think of something that could fit. Depends on the mood you're going for, too.

Info & Ideas: ESB and ROTJ Wishlist
Time
I've always found it funny how great the sabers looked in ESB and how bad they looked in ROTJ. (and I'm talking about any versions of the film, no matter what color they are) They usually tend to get things like that looking better as time goes on, not worse... In ROTJ, Luke's is too fat and bright, and Vader's is this skinny pink stick with barely any light in it compared to Luke's. Compare that with the end of their battle in ESB, where I think the sabers look great, brightness and size-wise.

"Lengthen distance between Slave 1 following MF"

I like that one! I know it's a long way off, as it should be, but I'm pretty excited about this one. We've had lots of preservations of Empire, but I can't think of any large scale re-editings of it. And judging by the care Ady put into ANH, this should make a nearly perfect movie nearly perfecter! ;)

How do I get on whatever list exists to get a DVD-9 version? I'm not familiar with what a "PIF chain" is...explanation please?

Ahem....

A "PIF (pay it forward) chain", a.k.a. a "DVD tree," is where the maker of the disc (the tree) sends it to a few people (the branches). Those people then send it to a few more, who each send it to a few more, etc, etc...until demand runs out.

I totally missed that post by Erik, so I'm no help there. Haha. I'm already involved in the PIFs, so I'll just continue going that route.
