Star Wars: REBORN - The Complete Saga (* unfinished project *)
Time

I thought of something last night, based on some recent discussion: did the thought ever cross your minds (or the minds of any editors) to make a fully silent movie version of Star Wars? Then you could put in any crazy music you want without any worries of bleed, dialogue, sound effects, or any of that other jazz. And either vocal narration or classic onscreen writing could take care of any necessary story explanation.

I certainly think it could work!

I liked the space battle, too. Looked like he knew exactly what he was doing. :) The Nemoidians sounded great! Quite natural.

I was surprised that you left in the "who was his father?" part. And also the 'rule of two,' but then it led to the close-up of Palpatine, so that was ok.

Anyway, that was a very fun viewing. Oh, and where was the narration from? "A Musical Journey"? I can't remember.

Is laserdisc better than VHS?
Time

I love cedmagic.com. :) I've read a ton of stuff there.

I've always been interested in obscure, obsolete technology. I love reading about Divx, too. Despite being Canadian, I actually got to see the big, fancy Divx displays at Circuit City when visiting Michigan back in late '98/early '99. Even then, I thought it was an interesting, yet extremely flawed, idea, despite not knowing nearly as much about it as I do now. Little did I know that even then, one foot was in the grave and the other was hovering above a banana peel.

Tons of very interesting info on Divx here (browse around, too): http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articles/divxgoodguys.html

Laserdisc was also the first format to present a film in its correct widescreen aspect ratio, I believe. Wasn't the first widescreen LD the Criterion Bladerunner?

The real question is, what is better, VHS or CED? Haha.

I saw the OOT on CED at a flea market once. Can't remember what it cost. Would be cool to have now.

Do you have CED player? I used to see SW CEDs all the time on eBay, I'm sure you can still pick one up there. :-P

No, I don't have anything CED related. I would've just gotten it for the curiosity/rarity factor. :) I don't think I'd bother buying it now.

That last one was good, too. Nice spot to put that scene. Would it have been shown for the first time at that point? I'm thinking that would be wise, especially considering the length of it, if it was already shown before, y'know? Maybe tighten it up a bit if it had been shown in its entirety before.

I never noticed how much she looks like a hippie in that scene. Haha.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Excellent work, guys! :)

I just finished making this, for fun:

I have always wanted to see Star Wars and Star Trek integrated into one movie/TV episode. I know it will probably never happen, but it would be neat! There have been a handful of attempts (mostly comedy), but no fully integrated stories or anything.

Unless you guys know of one...
