Wow, really? I'm gonna check that right now. *checks* Well, I dunno. It's true that you don't really see a long shadow for the nose, but maybe it's just because it's higher and skinnier and the shadow isn't cast? You'd think you would see something, but I'm not sure.

I agree, Josh. ;) As long as Jar Jar is in there, for instance, it will never "be done properly." Haha.

The thing about Lucas is that he can't leave well enough alone. He will never, never, NEVER be completely satisfied with the Star Wars movies, it seems. I can partly understand his motivation, but good gravy...

-1, I figure what DF Shadow was getting at wasn't so much Ady's excellent color correction and whatnot, but the fact that GL has no interest in releasing a proper version of the OUT...which was the original reason for this site's existence, basically. :p As awesome as Ady's 1080p stuff is, it's still slightly-modified SE versions.

Ady, I can't remember if you have given a definitive answer on the Vader helmet wobble. I must say that I've never really noticed it before. (I'm not that great at noticing such things) I kinda think it probably shouldn't wobble, seeing as it's supposed to be tightly secured to the rest of the helmet.

i'm quite enjoying the clone wars tv series (apart from the bloody jar-jar episode) even though i hated the movie and will never watch that ever again

Really? I thought the movie was the basically the first episode[s] of the series. I guess not. Maybe I should look into this series if you like it... I haven't watched a second of it yet.

Some good points there, prof. The way I see it, you (meaning LFL/GL) can't keep making new projects and saying 'ok, this is canon. And this isn't canon anymore. And this is canon. And this isn't anymore.' Everything becomes a big mess. If only they would just leave things alone sometimes. :p

I like the ideas with Maul and Vader beng shown after the medal ceremony. However, I would not add any character names in the dialogue cards unless you plan to do it with every single card. The people that complain that they don't know who is speaking just don't know the movies well enough and should probably watch the originals a few more times. ;) If you start adding things like that, especially just to a few cards here and there, it's going to start feeling like you're holding people's hands to help them "get it." I think it's a bad idea. If you look at old silent films, they never had to resort to this. Don't get pushed into doing something that might look odd just because a few people don't "get it." ;)

Your first idea of "edit minor shots of speaking characters for a clearer understanding about who talk, and to whom" is all that is needed. And I don't think it's needed at all! To be quite honest, I barely know the PT compared to the OT and I never had a problem understanding who was talking to who.

It's pretty much always Luke's saber. A couple of times when it's particularly big are in the skiff scenes (pretty much as soon as he stars swinging) and that side shot scene of Luke and Vader right after Vader talks about Leia. Those are the first scenes I think of, anyway.

When the whole lightsaber thickness/whatever issue came up, I started thinking about some of the morbidly obese ones in ROTJ, and the more I think about it, I'm not sure what Adywan could do about it. He's a wiz, but man...that just seems like a HUGE amount of work, especially in scenes that aren't really dark and easy to cut them down a bit.

But that's just more non-ESB talk. :p

I was watching ESB on Spike TV last night...

Boy, that sure isn't hard to do. I think they're trying to set some sort of record for most amount of times played for something they've purchased the rights to! :p Kinda like how TBS would play "Jaws" and "Zoolander" with ridiculous frequency.

And I don't think there are any of those glows in the OT at all, are there?
