I was wondering about that Independence Day footage... Didn't remember it was a placeholder. :p

I'm fluent in French too, but pretty rusty, as I've barely used it since 1995. (last year of high school) Maybe one true conversation in all this time.

I'll think about menus and such and chime in if anything significant comes to mind. :)

*Didn't want to start a whole thread for this, and there isn't one anywhere for random thoughts, so anyway, I'll post it here*

This is today's Uncle John calendar entry:

• C-3PO (played by Anthony Daniels) has the first line in the first movie (“Did you hear that?”) and the last line in the last one (“Oh no!”).

• Daniels, on getting the part: “I was quite insulted to be offered a role as a robot; I was a serious actor. I wasn’t going to be in some weird American movie as a robot, yet my agent insisted.”

• Kenny Baker (R2-D2), on Daniels: “He’s been such an awkward person over the years. If he just calmed down and socialized with everyone, we could make a fortune touring and making personal appearances. I’ve asked him four times now but the last time he looked down his nose at me like I was a piece of s*#@ and said, ‘I don’t do any of these conventions—go away, little man.’"

That last one sounds like it's from "Bring Back...Star Wars", but I'm sure Mr. Baker has recounted that sad viewpoint many, many times over the years.

French Subtitles. Haha. Is that cuz you're Canadian, and thus it's the law? ;)

Not the same thing, but you know, I haven't heard the French dub of the OT in years, since I watched it on Radio Canada way back before I had a VCR. They did an awesome job with the casting, especially with Vader! Have you watched it in French, A-Man? I think I asked TMBTM if the old dubs I saw on TV were the same as the ones on the 2004 discs, but I forget what he said. I would assume they are. I think he did say that Chewie is no longer called Chico in ANH. :p

That's a good idea adding the prologue as a deleted scene rather than in the actual edit.

Ah, classic Trooperman; charming humble to the last. ;) I know you think it is very rough, and sure, it is, but I can honestly say that this is by far the most interested I've ever been in watching AOTC, and you really delivered. I read your list of possible future edits and it would tighten it up to even better levels than it already is. Heh.

That looks pretty good! :) I know it's just a mock-up, but for the final version, you might want to sort of ramp up the redness/brightness to match the other. Something like that.

I plan to make a clan when I'm able and everyone is invited to join it, of course. I can do so when I hit level 10.

So far, I have confirmed that bkev and xhonzi have created characters. Anyone else? :)

Not super happy with it, but it took way too long and I got tired of tweaking it. :p

I actually made a few for another forum I post at, but the admin hasn't used them yet. (he takes his sweet time doing...well, most things)

I'll give it a think and probably submit some later. They can be used as Jay sees fit. :)
