I've got the pilot, but I've never seen any alternate cuts of the sequel around. I'd love to check it out.

The pilot isn't anything special, really. It's a very condensed version of the first film, and nowhere near as entertaining.

Well, there was the "Antarctica, 1982" title card, but no narration over it. And there wasn't any narration over the scene where we first see the cast. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that it wasn't the infamous TV version.

Mitch, you have a copy of that? Care to share it with the rest of us?

Got my DVR set. Be warned, the best I can do is DVR to a set-top DVD recorder, and AMC is an analog channel for me.

It just makes things less cluttered, at least how I see it. I dunno. I use the function on other forums, I just like things to all be uniform and then the non-uniform stuff to be the stuff I haven't seen yet. Does that make sense? I guess if I'm the only one asking for it, don't worry about it.

All around, though, I dig the new forum.

I've got a DVD of a laserdisc rip of this and a DVD of the uncut version. Anyone want those two discs to create a good quality uncut version? We can make the same product this joker did and throw it at folks free of charge.

There's a lot of bloat on JPEG images by default. I resized mine in Irfanview, and unchecked a bunch of options (Keep original EXIF data, Keep original IPTC data, Keep original JPEG-comment), and that got my avatar down from 12k to 5k without having to drop the quality any more.
