Yeah, more or less. The brightness was kicked up a lot rather than any overall color correction, so the result is some ridiculously grainy dancing blacks that's insanely distracting. Take a look (not resized for anamorphic squeeze):

Waterworld ABC Cut? A ton of info - see McFly's posts for details (Released)
Time
Right, tweaker, this is from the Encore broadcast, and it features all the cursing and stuff cut from the ABC broadcast.

As censorship laws in England are different than in the US, I'm not sure what, if any, dialogue edits were made to the UK Sci-Fi broadcast. Since it's a VHS source (even if it is a satellite broadcast), it may well still look like the one I've got. Then again, it may look better. The one I have looks about like those screencaps posted above. Perhaps I'll wait and see if the other fellow chimes back in with screencaps from the UK Sci-Fi broadcast so we can see what's up.

Alien vs Predator 2!?
Time
If you can put aside the kind of hype that the idea of Aliens vs Predator had built up over the years, and some closely-held feelings on the near-perfectness of the first two Alien flicks, AVP was a fuckin' good time. Was it trash cinema? Yeah, but it was a nice ride. Take it for what it is: a way-too-expensive weekend fun flick.

You think? The backgrounds and battles looked wonderful and stylistically perfect, but the elephants and the rhino went past that and just looked like cartoons that didn't mesh with their surroundings. The wolf also looked like a cartoon, but again, that was stylized in such a way that it's excusable.

I like that you used the word "asshat" there, because that's exactly what I just said in my message to him!

Hey, asshat, you have no place trying to sell this DVD. Do not try to reap what you haven't sown. You've been reported to eBay, and so have all your other auctions for DVDs you ALSO have no place selling.

You're welcome.
his reply

I dont understand why people like you waste your time? I just try to let other people enjoy their past with old movies ..wowzer people are selfish

response by me

Yeah, at the expense of their $150. If you wanted to help people "enjoy their pasts", you'd put it at a But-It-Now price of around $10 to cover just the costs of the media, packaging and postage. What you're doing is swindling people.

His first reply was quick, so maybe I'll get another one soon.
