I also believe that abortion is not a religious issue, but then I don't believe that religion has ANY bearing on human life.

I don't believe that abortion is a political issue either.

I believe that it's a moral and ethical issue and since those things are subjective and constructed by society they are going to differ greatly from society to society as there is NO 'objective right'.

I believe that abortion is an issue that has to do with a woman's body and her right to choose. It should be decided by the woman and to a lesser extent the father of the zygote.

It's always interesting to see so many men expecting to be able to tell a woman what rights she has and what she can and cannot do with her body.

We probably won't be hearing from any women here but I find it interesting none the less.

If men could fall pregnant the right to have abortions would be a no-brainer, but then that would be a very different world.

While I, too, am sick of hearing this, I do not deny that it is true. But as I've said before, if Michaelangelo were to come back from the dead and claim that the Sistine Chapel were half done or that David really should have arms (or any artist and his work for that matter), I would expect him to leave the original available and then recreate their "to be finished" work elsewhere. Something that has been a part of the public consciousness for so long cannot just be denied its right to exist. Even I archive previous versions of websites that I have created.

Michaelangelo's David has arms and very well sculpted hands too. You might be thinking of the Venus de Milo, which was sculpted by Alexandros of Antioch, son of Menides.

What happens to the child after its born. It lives thats what the flying fuck happens. Even a life in an orphange or on the street is still a life and I am sure they are thankful they were given the right to excist.
Frankly I could give a flying fuck about what happens to some dirty sluty whore who fucked around and doesn't want to accept the responsibility for that. If the girl is raped kill the guy who raped you don't take it out on some innocent child.
There iternity in hell can't begin soon enough as far as I am afraid.
Our country doesn't need slutly whores like them. If they accidently kill themselves trying to get an illegal abortion I say good fucking ridence.
They are slutty whores. Who think that they can do whatever they want without consequence. I have no sympathy for them at all. I strongly support the death penilty.

Britanny Spears and Natalie Portman together. Four of my favorites.
Heres some news. Apparently Natalie Portman will play a stripper in her next movie. All I can say is yeah.
Id appreciate a womens mind more if it bounced up and down as they walked. Perverted I know but Im a guy.
some of the time you just want some action.
I say you gotta take the best you can get.
Elisha Cuthbert doesn't go fully nude though. Probably my only complaint in what otherwise is a masterpeice.
Heres a very reveling Wardrop malfunction from everyones favorite girl next door. I hope you enjoy I know I did.
Oh well even if they are not her boobs it is some girls boobs which makes it worth clicking.
I believe you only need to be 18 to hang in the nudy bar
Where the music stinks and they water the drinks at the nudy bar
Where you look at a thigh and blacken an eye at the nudy bar
Where the girlies dance in there underpants at the nudy bar
Where a bucks enough to see there stuff at the nudy bar
Where you swear like a sailer and wish you could nail her at the nudy bar
Where the breasts may be fake but man can they shake at the nudy bar
Where the bear is a plenty and the women are all 20 at the nudy bar
Where you see there butt but there trap stays shut at the nudy bar
What I like about Al Bundy is he say all the things we are thinking deep inside but that women never are able to tolarate. He is the opposite of what women want us to be. For example when he insults fat women at his shoe store. I always considered him a hero when he did this.
I am good at drawing and making jokes. I do make jokes on this site all the time. Other career options would be male prostitute, playboy directer, or mime.

You had better get used to whores Jimbo because with your attitude towards women that'll be your only chance to 'get some action'.

Just as well then that if you had your way there would be so many unwanted children condemned to loveless lives on the streets that there'd be plenty of whores for you to choose from when even they refuse to service you.

You disgust me, and I'm not easily disgusted.

But to say for sure that God DOES exist and IS evil and hates us is just silly.

The worst case scenario is that God exists and is an uncaring c*nt who enjoys watching his monkey project stumble and suffer.

The realistic scenario is that all of this, ALL OF THIS, is just a whole lot of random crap that is happening through pure chance.

Either way, enjoy it while you can because it moves along at a VERY brisk pace and it'll all be over before you know it.

True, no I don't HAVE to, but I feel it is my way of countering the 'truth'.

I'm sorry to have offended and do not mean to belittle the beliefs of others but this is what *I* believe.

I think I said I'm happy to see people believe whatever they want so long as no harm comes of it.

So where's the harm in what I'm saying?

I'm not deliberately trying to be obstinate but I won't be silenced either.

NOTE: I know that's not what you were trying to do as you were very rational in your criticisms, which I respect.

But if group C can say 'God exists' why cannot group A say 'God does not'?

Where's the harm?

No one is trying to force anybody to believe anything. that is impossible. But reffering to God as Bush's imaginary friend is way over the line of insantiy. Do you not belive that Bush is sincere? Beleive that he is playing us for fools or something? Or do you just not accept God's existence at all? What is it with you?

I didn't bring religion to this discussion, it was here before me.

Now I don't want to get on the wrong side of the religious moral majority because I know from first hand experience what an angry bunch of hate-filled hypocrites they can be when discussions regarding ethics and humanity turn into arguments about faith. So I will say this and repeat it; believe whatever you wish to believe.

"I know the Bible is correct, because it is the Word of God, and I know it is the Word of God, because it says so in the Bible."

It is a fairytale based on the ancient Greek myth of Herakles (son of Zeus, raised by mortals, performed heroic labours and rid the world of monsters before finally venturing into the Underworld/Hades and being reborn as a Olympian/God).

I am quite happy for you, and whomever else wants to, to believe whatever you wish to so long as you don't try to base laws on things that are as verifiable and have as much bearing on the physical world as the toothfairy.

But whatever helps you get through life and gives you strength to struggle through without going mad can't be all bad. Do unto others is the golden peanut.

Believe what you want but don't use such unprovable, untestable, untenable beliefs to justify laws or foreign policy that impacts upon the lives of, impinges on the freedoms of and enacts control over others whom you deem to be heathens or whatever just because they don't believe in the unquestionable word of your old book.

If as I said there were an all-powerful, all-knowing supernatural force at once infinite and singular, then it would want to KNOW everything, the good and the bad. If all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration and we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, then there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and you are the imagination of yourself. When the ride is over every living thing rejoins the singularity for a debrief and how long you spend in the bad place depends on how long you want to before you make the choice to end the suffering and rejoin the light.

This is a common belief amongst those who have had Near Death Experiences, 'mind expanding' drug trips, or suffered dissociative states of mind. It lends credence to the theory that all religious belief can be traced back to the hallucinogenic bark of an African tree known as Iboga (the tree of knowledge). Then fragmented, bastardised, mythologised, organised and militarised. Now they all fight over which is the one true fairytale. But the fighting is all for bullshit reasons.

What matters is how you act in life, how you treat others in life and how you live with that until you die.

Nothing else matters. It matters not what you believe, nor what I believe because in the end we all die. So why should there be any suffering on Earth? We all have one life, and one life only and it should not be a miserable one no matter what the oft-translated words of a 2000 year old Chinese-whisper have been forced to mean.

I'm not trying to unconvert you, that would be pointless but I am trying to make you see the light.

I am a liberal humanist and I believe that clashes in ideologues are keeping us back. If humanity could move beyond petty things such as intolerant religious beliefs and nationalism we'd realise we're just one species sharing one planet, a tiny blue speck in an infinite universe. We're lucky but we're not blessed. Let's just make the most of it why not?

I'll close with the words of Bill Hicks who said it, and everything else, best:
Quote

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride..." And we... kill those people.

"We have a lot invested in this ride. Shut him up. Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account and my family. This just has to be real." Just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter because: It's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defences each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace. Thank you very much, you've been great."

BOBA FETT WAS LUKE'S MOM?

A funny interview with Mark Hamill from CHUD, forgive me if this has already been posted elsewhere.

BOBA FETT WAS LUKE'S MOM?

10.01.04
By Devin Faraci
Contributing sources:

Today was the press day for the reconstruction of Samuel Fuller's The Big Red One, the classic 1980 war film that is even more incredible no with footage, which the studio had trimmed, returned to its rightful place.

At the press day was Richard Schickel, film critic and historian (who did the reconstruction), Robert Carradine (once and future nerd and one of the stars of this film) and Mark Hamill (you may have heard of him).

I'll be running the results of this great press day soon, but there was, as you would expect, some Star Wars related stuff that came up, and I took an opportunity to get Mark Hamill aside and get his take on some aspects of the Star Wars mythos, stuff that no one else will have. So I figured I would run it now! Enjoy.

Q: Some Star Wars fans are outraged that he would tinker with the original films. What’s your take on that?

Hamill: It’s his toy, if he wants to give it a new paint job, you know. There was only one instance that I thought was changing the intent of what we wanted to do. That was when Vader reveals that he’s my father, I committed suicide. I let go and calmly dropped back. That’s the way Irving Kershner and I discussed it, that’s the way it was in the script, that’s the way that I played it. I didn’t see it, but someone said that they dubbed a scream in it. I said to my son, “Go check it out, see if there’s a scream in.” He came back, “Yeah dad, there’s a scream and it sounds like the Emperor!”

Q: They changed it on the DVD, they cut it back out.

Richard Schickel: This is all part of the dark plan where he’ll bring back the original and make another billion dollars!

Hamill: And then he’ll release the workprint, from before there were any special effects! Black and white, with leader lines. Countdown numbers!

Q: When I heard that they cut the scream out I was so relieved, because it was such a huge mistake to put that in.

Hamill: Nathan, my son, said, “Did you do the scream?” They must have a library of sounds that all of us made from ADR, so he can do whatever he wants.

Q: Prior to Jedi, did you know Leia was your sister?

Hamill: No. In fact I said, “Come on George, you made that up on the plane ride over here, didn’t you?” It seems so arbitrary to me, I don’t know if he made it up, it seems so arbitrary to me.

Q: And it makes Empire so creepy.

Hamill: She just gives me a peck on the cheek, right?

Q: No, you’re in the bed, she’s trying to make Han jealous…

Hamill: Oh in the medical room. I thought you meant before the swing across [in Star Wars]. Well, it’s not creepy on her part, it’s creepy if he knew.

It seemed to me that after revealing that Vader was my father they desperately wanted to top that, which you can’t do! The audience is expecting the unexpected. I kept thinking that Boba Fett would take off the helmet, shake out her hair, and it’s my mother! You would go, “Wow, a double agent!”

But I did think that they jettisoned Boba way too arbitrarily. He was built to be this awesome bounty hunter that was badass and everybody was afraid of him, and what, you flip a switch on his backpack and whooo!

That’s one of those things – we all increasingly became possessive, as did the audience, of how things should play out.

There's plenty more from Hamill and the rest, plus a look at this great film restored to even greater glory, coming soon. Stay tuned.

Hmmm... I like you ric so I'm going to tread carefully on this. This is NOT a personal attack.

Sex is free but children are expensive. Hey, I didn't make the rules.

It's uncaring cruelty bordering on inhumanity to expect a rape-victim/rape-baby relationship to work. In an ideal world the child would not be affected by the 'sins of the father' but we do not live in an ideal world. We live in an imperfect world where the mother would see the ugly face of her attacker each and everytime she looked at her unwanted child. Is this fair? No, but is it the truth? Yes. Forcing a victim to raise her rapist's offspring is one of the most perfect acts of cruelty I can imagine.

Is it right to abort dividing cells when the resultant human will not be anything more than a drain on the family and the community? Tough question. Do I believe that it is the parent's right to decide? Yes I do. How many more ghettobaby car-thieves do we need?

Many people would willingly give their lives for their loved ones but how anyone could expect a mother with a life and place in society to give up her life so that the tissue inside her can be entered into the welfare system to bounce around getting used and abused before finally being ejected into the world as a bitter institutionalised uncared for human is beyond me. That's like trading a fuctioning person for a maladjusted criminal.

Yes I definitely agree that we should solve the problems of inequality and poverty. Hmmm, maybe if we all stopped pumping so much money into artillery and the machines of war we could afford to feed, clothe and shelter the homeless instead of incarcerating them and we could look after those less fortunate rather than killing people in far off countries just because we don't agree with them and they happen to be sitting on all our oil. Just a thought.

61's not that old.

I watched George Herbert Walker Bush jump out of a plane this year and He's 80.

I saw my 74 yeear old grandfather take a parachute roll of the back porch a few years ago and stand up grazed but other wise unfazed.

These men are career army and service and there is a difference between them and us.

Boba Fett is a tough bastard he's not soft like us he's hard like our grandparents. He's tough and he comes from rough times, and in the words of the immortal prophet Billy Ocean:

When the going gets tough
The tough get going
When the going gets rough
The tough get rough
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Ooooh baby

What is it with your hostility to caucasians, Americans, and the saved?

As usual we're off topic, uless you REALLY believe that there is no seperation between Church and State and that 'God puts world leaders in place'. IF there were a 'God' or all-powerful, all-knowing supernatural force at once infinite and singular then He does not put anyone in place on Earth that happens after their death, to everyone.

I have no hostility to Caucasians, I am one. I just feel that non Caucasians have the right to continue living their lives also. Sorry if that doesn't jive with 'it is written'.

I LOVE Americans I live in Australia which is rapidly becoming the 51st State. You guys are my brothers.

And as far as 'the saved' it is my firm belief that people can believe in whatever fairytales make them happy. Until their fairytales start getting enforced as law or foreign policy and begin to make other people of differing ideologies unhappy or dead.

Liberated Iraqis. Liberated from their limbs, lives and loved ones. Did they put their faith in the wrong imaginary friend? Perhaps if they prayed to 'God' he may have told his conduit on Earth not to order carpet bombing of their villages.

And why is my love of human life uncalled for when Jimbo's love of human suffering is acceptable?

I always liked the character of Boba Fett. The take no crap attitude he had towards Vader in Empire made him as cool as his cool, cool outfit.

In the o-OT version of ROTJ in 1983 the Jeremy Bulloch/Jason Wingreen Boba Fett definitely escaped the Sarlacc pit.

Fett 1

Fett 2

Fett 3

Fett 4

But the new Kiwi Boba Fett dies a horrible punkass death and is slowly devoured over the next 1000 years.

Also the R1 has a scene marker subtitle track letting you know which scenes are new. It's a good feature if you don't know the various cuts of the films backwards.

But the R2/R4 versions, being 'international' versions, drop this useful track in favour of multiple foreign language subtitle tracks in such useful languages as Swahili, Farsi, Latvian, Slovenian, Hebrew, Martian and others.

Go R1, it has a better box too.

Interesting analogy considering that America actually sat on the side lines and watched the rest of the world fight a war in Europe to contain the Nazi axis until it became their problem too on December 7, 1941.

Not pointing fingers, I'm just saying.
