Its hardly an oscar worth perfomance, especially considering Depp's incredible portfolio of work. In general I found POTC to be very average, with Depp's role being the only real stand out element.

Even though I'm a fan of the books, I kind of think that the ending could of been cut and saved for the EE. When all of Gondor bows to the hobbits, that could of been the ending and left 90% of audiences very happy.
Still ROTK was great, not quite as good as FOTR, but much better then TTT, and all around the best paced of the three with a lot of solid entainment value.
I liked Mystic river when I saw it, but the more I think about it, it was actually pretty bad.
Still haven;t seen Seabiscuit either.

disk one ends in a weird spot in the TTT EE. It should be right after galadriels speech. That way when you start disk 2, it would be faramir opening up the map and summarizing the situation. SO if you took a nap between disks you get all caught up.

Like i siad before, I agree tha gandalf has the ring, its just when he gets it and who he gets it from that is in question.
I believe its mentioned in the chapter where the hobbits and gandalf go by isengard to head back to Rivendell and aragorn is seeing them off. Or its when they go to the grey havens.

whether the sauron coming back to fight aragorn scene will be in there, I'm not sure. However I do think there is some hints of it in the theatrical version.
If you watch there is a point at the black gates where Aragorn is about to be finished off by a troll with a big mace. I have a feeling that this scene iscut together from elements of the sauron fight and it has been altered, taking out the digital sauron they were going to use and replacing him with the troll.
I hope the scenes with Bruce spence as the mouth of sauron are in the EE.
And actually if you watch the trailer for ROTK, 90% of that stuff isn;'t in the movie

I met Mr.Dressup when I was 3. That was a great show.

But how can they say the journey lasted 13 months?
I don't think that worked too well??
It was 13 months right!!
Otherwise ignore this shit!!
Actually in the books it takes like 20 years by the time its all done. When frodo gets the ring they don;t actually leave the shire for another 16 years, and when they get to rivendell they hang out htere for like 18months I believe. The urgency and the need to keep moving is greatly reduced in the book (or increased in the movies depending how you look at it)

And if you've ever seen kids TV over here, then you'll know exactly what I'm on about!:
Some times people think I'm british because I've picked up a lot of the slang (I always end up reading british books for some reason) like suss and quid. I've seen a lot of worse kid acting then the HP films. I think the casting is fine, the kids don't bug me, but I can see how it might bug someone else.

the book explains it that hte ring was not "activated" or "awake" so when Bilbo was invisible he didn;t slip into the shadow world the way Frodo did.
