And life sucks enough already on it’s own, so why should we be obligated to fill our very young children’s minds with thoughts of torture and pain?

So they aren’t surprised when they get older?

Surprised?

That suggests having a shitty outlook on life is beneficial. It is not.

Well, it’s accurate and honest.

And how has it helped you to have such an outlook?

I’m sure it hasn’t but at least I’m not lying to myself.

Life is what you make of it. Both the good and the bad in life exist, but it’s your choice what you focus on. It’s not a lie to endeavor to find good in things.

Fake news

No its humor and star wars should never have humor. Remember how serious Han Solo was all the time?

To be fair, most of the complaints about the humor revolve around the humor not being funny. That’s different than complaining about there being humor.

Precisely. The humor in TFA was handled much better in my opinion. The jokes were just much better placed and didn’t detract from certain emotional moments like some in the Last Jedi. And some of it just plain isn’t funny.

My personal opinion is a weird hybrid. I think the humor in TFA was indeed better placed, but it still wasn’t funny. In TLJ it was often inappropriate, but it was funnier. So we’ve got bad humor that doesn’t ruin any “good” moments, and good humor that is often a mood breaker. What a conundrum. I need a pizza for this

Yeah but it is a little bit bad about making you drowsy in the morning. Also I’ve read over time it can lead to blood pressure problems.

Once I took 12 or so in high school and had the scariest trip of my life. Heard thousands of cats meowing and saw the shadows of huge spiders that weren’t there. Didn’t see spiders, just shadows of them. All in all I’d give the experience a 3/10. Gave it 3 points for scaring me away from doing shit like that.

star wars has always sounded good. the quality of the recording for the film’s sound track has been better preserved across a few home formats, compared to the visual content, which has rarely been treated with patience, care or respect.

Not really. The original film sounds like garbage on all home media until 1997, and then you have to deal with stupid content changes. Then 2004 onward it sounds even worse than before. Basically the 1997 mix is the only decent sounding mix on home media. (I’m sure the original Tracks sounded better when they were on fresh prints) thankfully it’s been edited by some to conform to the oot.

Really? I don’t think you’ve met my friend Laserdisc. The 1993 THX LD mix can even give a modern home theater system a workout.

Yeah I’ve heard the laserdisc mix. Sounds terrible to me. Well half terrible. The sound effects sound great on it I will admit and the dialogue is fine. Score sounds terrible. Muffled, tinny, even out of tune at times. Just listen to the opening trumpet blast, even it warbles. The 97 mix is the only one that sounds good all around to me.

I’m just talking about star wars by the way, not empire or jedi.

Plus i don’t see how children of drugs would be any different if legal than it already is.

The idea that everything stands still but drugs are legal isn’t how it works. Money is still to be made, customer base grown. If you’re somebody dealing in inherently addictive substances, you’re going to push your product. No possibility of jail is good for business.

Yeah right. There isn’t a soul alive that doesn’t already know the “benefits” of meth. Everybody that wants to do it is going to do it anyway. May as well tax it and fix the fucking roads and schools.
