The thing about online dating is it’s mostly losers, sprinkled in with a few random people who are perfectly fine but are either down on their luck or in an area that’s hard to meet people or are just having trouble making the time to meet people. But then those people will try it only to find that most everybody else on there… Well sucks. Then when they find a profile of a Decent person on there it’s usually abandoned because they gave up also. So then you give up. Some people get lucky and it works, but I honestly have had better luck in the past (when i didn’t already know who I wanted) messaging girls I was “friends with” on Facebook based on their profiles and if they seemed like a good person and maybe we had a few shared interests. It’s a lot less pressure that way. That way you have references, they can look at your page and see how you interact with family and friends etc

4 hours later and I’m just sleepy, feel slightly queasy, and have a headache. Wasn’t worth it. Maybe if I had done it at the end of the day when I could have just went to bed after and when my depressing thoughts were actually at the forefront it would have seemed to have more benefits.

I spent 300 on my current audio technica turntable and it already sounds so much better than your “typical” record player I couldn’t imagine it having a ton to be gained, it sounds better than cds to my ears.

I drank one beer on my lunch today. I know I shouldn’t have, and it was wrong. First alcohol I’ve had in over 2 months. But is it throwing the whole 2 months away? I don’t think so. I can just rephrase it from “2 months without a drink” to “2 months of being in recovery”. I definitely don’t think I’m going to make drinking a habit again. I don’t even like the way it’s feeling, all I feel is nervous and anxious and slightly dizzy. Nervous and anxious probably just from the guilt. So I’m actually a bit relieved, knowing that I can for some reason if I feel like it have a beer and not relapse into hard alcoholism if I don’t let myself. I don’t even like this feeling, pot’s better and I don’t think I’ll be following it up with a second after work.
