Help Wanted: Possibly starting brand new, HD edits of the prequels from blu-ray sources, need a bit of input here.
Time

EPI might have the most flaws, but I think it's also the most salvageable.  Sure Jar Jar can be annoying and the pod race is too long and the announcers are annoying, but those can all be trimmed out.  Phantom Menace also has the best acting of any of the prequels (IMO), has much more heart and the most "worth saving" moments out of any of them.  Also it feels more like a star wars film.  It legitimately doesn't feel like a video game cutscene.  And it's the last sw film to use actual models for ships, and it shows.

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

Just read a review of a local restaurant that has very few reviews and actually is of good quality where someone gave it a one star out of five simply because somebody who was old and in poor health died while he was in there.  Seriously? WTF.  This is why I hate people.  Due to the low number of reviews this review gravely dragged down their score and all for something that was in no way having to do with the restaurant.  I hate people and if that person (who I actually do personally know and detest even before that) ever dies in the same restaurant as me I'm giving it 5 stars.  (joke... unless it actually is good.)

The worst era in human history

Like it, love it, hate it, regardless of your feelings for it, it resembles NOTHING that classic rock has to offer, other than the actual instruments used.

And even if you do hate it, it is NOT just noise.  It has deeply written melodies that are strongly rooted in classical music, whether the distortion or the drums gets in the way of you appreciating that or not.

Heavy metal has came in the last 40 years.  And while it at first was just more aggressive rock, it has since morphed into something completely different and original.  Sure, it's more a combination of hard rock with blues elements taken out of it and replaced with classical elements, but it's a different kind of music all together.  Take black metal for example.  Whether you like it or not, it is unrecognizable from rock music.  It has elements of classical music and melody thrown in in a way that is totally unique and does not resemble anything else.

And as for blues music, I think it died with Stevie Ray Vaughan.  Sure he didn't invent anything, or do anything TRULY innovative, but the style and intensity with which he played made it SEEM like a new experience and has not been replicated since his passing.

Random Thoughts

He seems to be talented for a rap musician.  I guess talent runs in his blood.  I don't like rap and don't like his music, but it's better than what most of the kids these days are listening to.

Whether you like Ted or not, you have to admit he is an incredibly gifted musician and guitarist.  Personally I like his music, and I do think he is an okay guy with the stuff he supports and all the money he gives to children and help he does, but he does run his mouth too much.  I agree with SOME (not all) of what he says, but the way that he chooses to say most of it is just way too over the top and it just makes him look bad, when he is in fact a very intelligent human being, but he does his best to fool you of that with his language sometimes.

Sick of Star Wars Prequel bashing....
Time

I don't think they are terrible,  I think they are very flawed.  They are a different style of movie than the OT for sure, and the OT is far more consistent.  The PT would have been much higher regarded had they not been star wars films I think.

They are good films, they just aren't nearly the perfection of the original trilogy.  And sure, hayden christensen's performance was terrible, but let's not pretend Mark Hammil was all that fantastic in A New Hope either.  He was much better than hayden for sure, but he didn't get REALLY good until Empire strikes back.  Don't get me wrong I strongly enjoy his performance in ANH, it's just not as perfect as it is in ESB.

Also, Ewan is very good as obi wan in the prequels I think, something alot of people fail to mention.  (or realize).  Whether or not you like the prequels, Ewan was a good obi wan.  And he could have been better yes, but alot of that goes along with not having anything to react to, other than a green screen and somebody yelling "BANG".

Idea: HD restoration of the Phantom Edits..
Time

Maybe his identity was just so widely known by then he didn't feel like it would be a "phantom" edit anymore.

So anyways.  The phantom edit I won't be doing.  But attack of the phantom I will recreate the "cut" of the edit, synced to the AOTP original audio track from a blu ray source.  It will NOT include the phantom edit crawl, the crawl will be the original crawl.  Visual tweaks/fx shots he pulled will not be recreated, simply because I lack the skill.

I will possibly do my own edits of the phantom menace and revenge of the sith, but they will be unrelated, since obviously this won't really be my work, rather a recreation of somebody else's.

Embarrassing misconceptions you've had about internet acronyms...
Time

Title says it all.  When you were new to the internet and internet lingo, what are some things you mistakenly believed were meant by acronyms?

I'll start.  When I was very new to forums and such, I used to think (and I know this is stupid and obviously not right) that QFT meant "Quit fucking talking".  I know its weird but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what else it could have meant! Until I looked it up of course
