Just having a article on how they put the films in theater again in 1997 doesn’t man they won’t release the originals at some point.
I will say that for some reason Netflix performs much better on my WiiU than on my PC. Why, since the PC is connected through ethernet and the wii u through wifi, is anybody’s guess. The resolution isn’t any worse on the PC but the frame rate stutters sometimes, and it never does this on the wiiu. But from what I’ve read that’s just a bug in the netflix app for pc.

In its various versions, I’ve seen it more times than I could ever count. It’s still a perfect movie, of course.
EDIT: Well, not all the versions are perfect of course, but you get the idea.
I just watched Rogue One for the second time today. I liked it, but due to the fact that, unlike the other star wars movies, it’s not really character driven it didn’t really pop as much to me. I mean I enjoy it, but it’s much harder to watch and it doesn’t really entertain me as much as the other ones. But I can’t really fault it for that, it’s just a personal preference. Also CGI Tarkin didn’t look as good as I remembered it from theater. I loved TFA though, I don’t hate everything disney.
How come some of Queen’s songs dont sound like rock? Just curious.
Probably because some of their songs aren’t rock.

In the novelization, Palpatine is just a politician who ends up becoming a powerless figurehead. There’s nothing Force-ful about him within the prologue.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read it and I’d have to dig it out, bit I have the original paper back pressing and I’m almost sure in the edition I have it calls him a Sith. I’ll see if I can find it.
JEDIT: Duracell is right. Although it does refer to him as “The emperor”, so his identity is still revealed for the phantom menace. I’m pretty sure the book uses the word Sith somewhere though.
Plus, yes, the prequels are not good in their theatrical form. They are poorly made films there’s no doubt about that. But saying they are some of the worst films ever made is a huge exaggeration, as bad as they are there is MUCH worse.
When it happens to you somebody important asks us to stop and we reluctantly do, eventually. Now you’re being asked to stop, and as far as I can tell you’re not being threatened with being banned or anything, so I guess you’re just still in the reluctant stage.
Also, frink has a point. Look through the forum and you will see no less than 3 batman threads started by the sane person. Nobody is saying he doesn’t have a right to talk about batman to his heart’s content. All we are saying is to pick one of the threads he’s already created on the subject and stick with that thread. It’s a perfectly reasonable request, and your attempt to turn the needle back on the groove of the record where the verse goes something about frink trying to control the forum is just unnecessary, because it’s totally reasonable.
Also it was me that first said he should use one of the threads he already made. And nobody said spuffy had to listen to us or that he had to post on this thread. But he chose to post on this thread, so shouldn’t feedback be welcome, since feedback on new thread idea is basically this threads purpose? It’s not as if spuffy HAD to ask here first. But he did, and so we have our opinion. All frink asked, at first, was to stay on topic. Seeing as the thread is voluntary it’s reasonable. It was only when you disobeyed that he asked you to stay out of the thread. Which you also disobeyed. I’m not trying to call for you to get in trouble or anything, just asking that you look at this particular instance in a more objective might as I think your feelings have clouded your judgement with how you’re reading the thread.

It was in the books that accompanied their releases. And so was the name Palpatine. I have the original novel that came out sometime in 77 and in the prologue it talks about
Palpatine (by name) being the emperor and Sith Lord, so if you read that you already knew who the emperor was in TPM

Nobody is disputing that 04 onwards is worse than the 97, but it’s still just an even more butchered 97. Han shooting second, jabba being in the film at all, alerting Darth Vaders star destroyer to prepare for his arrival, jedi rocks, bird beak in the sarlaac pit, all 97 bud. Besides Ian and Hayden all the 04 versions did was refine the 97 changes.
The 97 SE has FAR more in common with 2004-onwards than the original. 2004 is basically the 97 SE but with changed colors and a butchered sound mix.
