Deicide isn’t as good as those bands. And lunatic of God’s creation and crucifixation are great, but are both better on the demo than the album, even production wise. The album is extremely flat sounding whereas the demo is full of energy. Also the vocals aren’t hilariously overdone like they are on the album… They are more like legion. The production is a little like a rougher sounding legion as well.

Deicide - In Hell I Burn

As a whole I don’t care much for deicide, but I do happen to have Legion on vinyl lp (the only album of theirs I felt was good enough front to back to merit owning… The first album is okay but the Amon demo has many of those songs and they are all better than the versions on the album even productionwise. (Talking about the one with “crucifixation”)) and I break it out once in a while and I love that song.

In theater I thought tarkin looked perfect and Leah looked terrible. But when watching the blu ray I felt the opposite. Strange. Tarkins eyes and mouth look very unnatural but Leah looked fine.

In theatre I always thought Tarkin had a bit of a “Polar Express” look to him (not enough to take me out of the movie, but enough to go, “Hey, that guy looks fake,”) while Leia was weirdly on the uncanny valley (something about her nose ticked me off; her nose looked fake for some reason).

At home I still thought Tarkin looked a bit fake (though they looked like they made Krennic look a little artificial to help in blend in, or I’m losing it), but Leia didn’t seem off at all.

I actually noticed krennic looking slightly waxed out in his scenes with tarkin too.

Also keep in mind that the experience is totally different. Edibles are basically just giving you thc, which is the main psychoactive ingredient. But smoking gives you lots of other cannibanoids, many of which are very calming and relaxing even if not necessarily psychoactive. For that reason personally I prefer smoking because I feel it’s a more even experience that keeps me relaxed and calm. Not that anything bad will happen from edibles, it just isn’t as calming.

What does anyone think of doing weed? Is it of much harm and does it help with feeling depressed?

It is not much harm. Whether or not it helps with being depressed in general varies both depending on the person and the strain of weed. It definitely makes recreational activities enhanced and more enjoyable though, so if you’re already in a good place and doing something you love, it will make it even better. If you’re in a bad place and feeling down and hoping it will make it better, well like I said it just depends on the person and the strain. It definely can go both ways. It might get you out of your funk and make you want to try something fun, or it might make you sit and over think about everything and make it worse. If you’re gonna try it get the highest quality you can and start on a small dose, maybe one puff or two. Don’t get cheap weed, it’s not a better value because it takes more for the effect and the effect isn’t as good or uplifting.

I just made a deal for some brownies and edibles so I’ll report back on what it’s like once I finally get them.

Totally different experience than smoking. It also takes effect very slowly as opposed to smoking, so don’t make the rookie mistake of eating one, think you haven’t taken enough then eat another one only to be tripping balls a few hours later. It’ll take a few hours to kick in, so just eat one or even a half then wait a few hours. Not that eating too many would actually hurt you because it wouldn’t, but it also wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience.

Well the first off topic/complaining (not exactly complaining I know, but negative anyway) post since it got unlocked was yours, so… Let’s just move on.

I love indica highs over sativa highs when it comes to pot.

Could you explain? I am absolutely clueless in this field of things haha.

Indica based strains are generally more relaxed and heavy feeling. They are more “hazy” and will relax you and take away your worries. Great for relaxing at home to a movie or music. Sativa based strains are lighter, yet also more intense in some ways. They energize you and are very uplifting, and will definitely feel very stimulating. Great for activities.

However I’ve find that your state of mind has a bigger effect than the strain. If you’re trying to relax and can only find sativas that doesn’t mean you can’t still relax.

Most strains these days are hybrids, the best of both worlds so to speak.

Listen to your favorite band while high, it will make it a brand new experience.

at the risk of continuing this discussion, I can see the points of the mary sue argument. The only one that really bothers me is her knowing the falcon better than Han. That was ludicrous. But I can kinda let it go and assume she had just tinkered with it in its slightly modified form whereas han hadn’t had it since the guy on jakku messed with it.

I’m tempted to be bothered by her defeated kylo ren, but then I remember chewie had just shot him with his crossbow, which has been demonstrated to be very powerful and destructive. He’s even bleeding still when the fight starts, so I can get past it.

And it starts … this thread begins the slow molasses run back in to the crap smelling breech that got it locked in the first place.

Neglify, you might want to consider cutting your losses, and let Wook lock this thread before it goes south in a flaming bag of poop kinda way because it’s going to happen guaranteed.

😉

What are you even talking about barely anybody has posted since it’s been reopened and none of them have been flames… If you’re talking about frink saying he was the worst lurker I think he was just making the joke that he was bad at lurking because he’s been posting more the past couple of days.

Indeed. I think our two edits will compliment each other nicely as well, the styles are different enough that they should appeal to different audiences. I really respect yours. I never could finish mine I’ve been on and off for 8 years on mine but I’m determined this time. (Actually I did finish out at one point but in SD and I stayed over and lost everything to do it on HD)

Thank you for the compliment! I am definitely awaiting yours, it seems very promising 😃

Indeed, and many of our ideas are similar in the things we cut. I think I’m leaning towards cutting out the whole thermal detonator/price argument thing, and either just having boush accept jabbas first offer, or just removing that scene entirely and just having it inferred that boush and chewie were already there. (Didn’t 3po remark “lando and poor Chewbacca never returned from this awful place” earlier anyway?) Because those Muppet reaction shots are awful. Also cutting down on 3pos cowardice. (Not completely just cutting down). Originally I planned on removing the whole 3po not knowing he was being offered as a gift bit because that seems awful cruel of Luke to not fill him in on the plan, and I was able to remove it successfully, but now I’m thinking I might leave it in because I’m cutting so much else from jabbas palace (probably removing the droid torture scene entirely, definitely removing musical number entirely) I’ll probably keep it in since I’ll need as much non disruptive content as possible to keep the pace from getting too out of hand.
