Well, considering that Steven Moffat is writing the screenplays for the Tintin movies, I will be very surprised if they turn out badly.

I'm afraid I'd have to disagree there. Iron Man gave me hope for the future of the film industry, that maybe movies would start getting better again, and then Indy 4 brought it back down. I can't help but wonder if I somehow saw a different movie from the rest of the posters in this thread, because I thought KOTCS was absolutely terrible.

If you're looking for that big-band sound, Pink Floyd has a little-known song called "Biding My Time" that has that feel to it, although I think it my be a little bit more slower tempo than what you're looking for. I'd recommend listening to the whole song before you make that call though. You can find it here:

My favorite would have to be Patrick Troughton, but all the rest are pretty much interchangeable (with Tom Baker being slightly higher than the rest, and Colin Baker slightly lower).

I actually really liked Paul McGann as the Doctor. Would've been nice to have seen more of him.

Actually bollox to what I just said...I think this is going to be very entertaining, which is just what you need at 7.00pm on a Saturday night.


I dunno, I thought Billie Piper was pretty annoying during season 1 (not to mention more than a little bit chavvy) but she got better during season 2. That being said though, I think bringing her back would be a bit of a cop-out; just another example of the show's writers just wanting to bring back old stuff to please the fans as opposed to coming up with fresh ideas (which is why I loved Steven Moffat's episodes so much: "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances", "The Girl in the Fireplace", "Blink").

For those that feel that Piper was annoying, does anyone think that Catherine "I'm gonna scream all the time 'cause it's funny when I do it" Tate is going to be any better?
