Additional get the Taiwan DVD of Hard Boiled. The quality may s*** (Hard Boiled at caps-a-holic) but it is the only source (known to me) containing the longer cut of the movie.

Fo "The Killer" I recommend additionally the french double DVD set. The bonus Disc containing a longer Version of The Killer. The Image Quality could be better, but is not as bad as the Taiwan Hard Boiled release. (The Killer at caps-a-holic)

You also use caps-a-holic? EXCELLENT.

Sometimes I also help there providing additonal versions. Exactly like the HK remastered and french Versions of "The Killer" and the Taiwan Version of "Hard Boiled". Its great to see that some people like the work there. :)

I have a similiar thing: The Popcorn Hour. Stocked with 2 TB. It plays mkv and BD ISOs and DVD ISOs and BD folder structures, DVD folder Structures and so on. Poorly the Firmware is not finished, yet, so its sometimes kinda buggy.

The big Popcorn Hour C-200 could contail a 2.5" SATA HD inside, and a 3.5 " SATA in an excange frame. Instead of the exchange frame there could be installed a BD-Rom for watching BDs. I belive its also possible to plug BD-Roms via USB. External HDs and Sticks could be plugged via USB and could be used to play files from. The C-200 can play BD-ISOs with BD Java content.

The small one, the A-200 could only be stocked with one SATA HD, and can play the same formats as the big boy, but It has no license to use BD-Java. So BDs with Java Menues ust play the main movie, and have no possibilities to use the extras. Language Settings can be done by a player menu.

To be honest: at the moment the popcorn hour is quite expensive and there are some important things that don't really work fine with the current firmware.

I once ordered at an italian site. I don't know any italian, but google language tool helped me out enought, to get the Vincent Price "Last man on earth" from italy :)

Seem that both of the eBay sellers don't ship to USA.

...so.. i just ordered at eBay for € 14.

If I don't like that movie, I may sell it again.

Edit:

I once checked how much it would be shipping from germany to USA (I got the "The Day After" DVD with widescreen presentation.) Shipping was quite expensive. € 13.90 via DHL .. UPS seems somebit higher.

Addidtionally the Movie is quite expensive. (I bought it at ebay for 14 Euro. other listings are 16 and above.. 25 Euro at Amazon.de for a used 40+ for an "new".)

So you could calculate above 30 Euro for the DVD send to from a german member to you. That would be $40 or more for the DVD !

---

Be carefull at amazon.de marketplace. US and UK discs may be offered under the german Disc page!

for example the offer for 19.99 € states:

US-DVD mit längerer Fassung als auf deutscher DVD! Region 1-DVD, bitte prüfen Sie, ob Ihr Player die abspielt.

Translated:

"US-DVD with longer Cut than german DVD! RC-1, check if your player is capable of playing it."

Sorry, I don't know anyone who taped this movie. As a matter of fact I am the only one i know personal who is so obsessed with movie like I am :(

I even imported two Italian DVDs, which stated to have 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Its even printed that way on the Covers. But as a matter of fact they even have just 2.00:1...

Some of the TV airings seem to be in 2.10:1 or 2.15:1, like the Marketing tape i own. But the data on ofdb.de are not allways correct.

Don't ask me why.

It was not just "indiziert" which means that it could be sold on special shops with an area just for adult movies, where no minors are even allowed to enter. It was "beschlagnahmt" which means that it wasn't allowed to publish, and copies were confiscated by police.

"Indiziert" is for movies, songs, comics called 'jugendgefährdend' which means that judges thoght the movies where bad for the development of youth regarding violence, sex or such things.

"Beschlagnahmt" is for movies, songs, comics which are judged to be someway against some law against glorifing violence. It is not forbidden to own them private, but to sell them, rent them, publicy them.

Where I live I will never see this discs in a store ;) its for sale in austra and switzerland only.

In germany we only have strong cutted Halloween II releases.

The price of the 2 Disc Bd Set is about € 30 (about $38) at the stores I linked. (Its shown right near the title, above the specs.

Here are the specs of the UK BD. Runtime 105:29 Min. (96:40 Min. o.A.)

And here is a detailed german comparison between the TC and the DC.

(Sorry, that I did not have english links with such stuff ;) )

On the austrian limited uncut edition both versions have a size about 20 GB, its a double layer BD. The Bonus Features are on a DVD. AFAIK the bonus are almost the same features as on the us disc.

It has german subtitles.

NO english SUBTITLES.

here is the link to the german ofdb. Page of it (They also have a internet shop)

here is an austrian shop.

Its important to get the BD from the lable "Illusions unlimited."

If you wish I can try to snap some screenshots from the austrian BD, so you may check quality.

The UK release could be easily get by the UK amazon store here

The UK release with the theatrical release is way cheaper.

EDIT:

the austrian store also has the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 Disc limited Edition I mentioned some posts above.
