The trouble with the Rogue One clip is that it’s facing the wrong way. There is an ILM clip that passes through the fleet which is incredible but it was only a low render. Why design all those ships if you’re not gonna add some awesome cinematic shots to show them off?

That was the first PM someone sent me. Hunting through every fan film now… 😎

Yeah, Dude! That’s exactly the same link from February. I think there’s 4 different layers just to create that effect. I can see a few flaws in it but to spend that amount of time on something to then get nitpicked for adding what people asked for really burnt me out for that scene.

I need a new computer but knowing where I’m living comes first atm.

Well, that’s great new. If you guys are happy with those Saber effects I’ll just run with that when I find some time. Cheers for the feedback.

Here’s the last scene I worked on. Feedback was the effect didn’t flow right, I added too much mist, The particles were too chunky and random and a lot of people said some of the day shots didn’t even look different. I’ve redone most of the day ones but this one proved to be difficult to get right and I didn’t wanna move on incase I had to redo them all again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEq_ztkY9hc

The Crackling Saber is on hold as I got a lot of negative feedback with various scenes. The effect changes so much between day/night and with distant and close-up shots so it takes a lot of tweaking. I just don’t have that amount of time to invest in such a consuming thing atm as I’m trying to get through the other 19 shots I’m working on, plus my computer keeps overheating every time I use After effects or Premiere Pro for a long period which isn’t helping at ALL!

For whatever reason, the audio sounded better to me when it was playing in final cut, not using VLC or another player. I added in boba fett and mando, because u do see a shot of the Slave I and a mandalorian fang fighter (for like a milli second of a milli second, if that counts for anything). I’m currently working on getting more “for skywalker!!!” lines for a certain moment. Feel free to bash and maybe enjoy =D

I absolutely love this. Some of the scene resolution quality is a little low and noticeable but I may be able to help with those if you let me know the sources?

Also, I’ve seen a Star Destroyer in Hyperspace but can’t remember where, Can anyone help me out?

thanks MR! I actually have it in 4K HDR, but vimeo wont let me upload a larger file. I’m guessing the scenes u are referring to are the ackbar and nien nub parts. Perhaps after doing some audio clean ups/adjustments, I can upload a prores version and let the experts tinker around with it.

I’ve actually been going through a lot of that recently but it has a slight cartoony tone to it. Also, a lot of clips have background noise which the AI will have issues with.

So, now we gotta find an audio book or several hours of Mark sounding like Luke. 🤔 at least they replied.

If you can make her say “You don’t believe that” I’d be amazed. I tried a while ago but couldn’t get it sounding right.

Hey Dazman, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t have access to my computer atm but wasn’t that floor lighting in the original TLJ deleted scene? I just had to match the planet’s timing as it rises in the windows.

Yeah, the real-time voice AI is track but you can grab the odd word or two.

I screwed up my computer installing the github program but someone did send me a Google link (which I can’t find right now) if anyone has it, some others may find it interesting to play with.

I usually type what I’m looking for 10ish times with various spaces so it changes inflections etc.

From what I remember, it’s they’re own software development that isn’t available. I’ve tried other software’s but they’re not very good.

I wouldn’t say so, Both RogueLeader and Sherlock have been coming out with some great new edits. The more scratch build stuff is tricky due to Jonh making his own movie, Me buying a new house, Poppa becoming a Poppa, and others not having much free time now lockdown is opening.

What other active VFX artists do we have left? Has anyone heard from Snooker lately?

All these ideas are great but we seem to be going around in circles because there’s no one to actually execute the ideas being suggested?
