Nope, They said last month things would return back to normal on 19th July without any restrictions so I’ve been promoting that return but today’s update is now anyone coming to my events from September must have proof of both vaccinations or they can’t enter. I’ve not even had 1 yet so I’m either gonna have to cancel the shows or pay extra staff. I’m losing my mind hence the need for escapism but without a computer, I’m double F’d. 😕

Damn, I’ve been away for almost a month and TestingOut is still testing people. WTF aren’t you guys just ignoring that shit by now?

In other news, My computer is dead so I’m unable to do any VFX or editing until I can get back to work and buy a new one but the UK Government just changed the rules again and I’ve no idea when I can return.

Thanks to those who’ve reached out. I promise to continue with all the scenes and collabs I’ve been working on as soon as I can. TBH, I’ve really missed the banter and escapism… not you Testing 😉

Having the same accent as Daisy, I think the sound-a-like was annoying to the point I struggled getting through the holiday special. In the most part the new girl sounded like a dumb parody of Rey as the pronunciation to some words were so exaggerated and unnatural, imo.

Having said that, it much be extremely difficult to master an accent and then deliver dialogue in the same awful clunky way the original actor did.

Finn just became a character who remembers people names. For him to say “R2” twice in the same scene is just annoying, imo.

Yeah, it’s a really low render too so it stands out next to actual footage. I just wish we had that shot.

I think this is a great idea. Having the sounds gradually increase as the invasion or night raids begin. Could you share your sources once you’re happy with them?

The trouble with the Rogue One clip is that it’s facing the wrong way. There is an ILM clip that passes through the fleet which is incredible but it was only a low render. Why design all those ships if you’re not gonna add some awesome cinematic shots to show them off?

Yeah, Dude! That’s exactly the same link from February. I think there’s 4 different layers just to create that effect. I can see a few flaws in it but to spend that amount of time on something to then get nitpicked for adding what people asked for really burnt me out for that scene.

I need a new computer but knowing where I’m living comes first atm.

Here’s the last scene I worked on. Feedback was the effect didn’t flow right, I added too much mist, The particles were too chunky and random and a lot of people said some of the day shots didn’t even look different.
