Definately but I feel it’ll be better represented in images?
Definately but I feel it’ll be better represented in images?
We could motion track almost any wall from 1:50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkK5J7OJ9SU
If enough designs are made, we could layer on multiple images to show they’ve been there over time? I also like the idea of incorporating the original Star Wars poster design in there somewhere.
Is anyone taking on RL’s ideas? I think they’re pretty awesome.
I remember someone offering to design the graffiti art but did this happen? I could try to camera-track a wall and add it to a scene or two.
I’m assuming Alex would be the one talent to add the additional voices etc?
This could be the final piece to the Mustafar puzzle. Thanks for sharing. They’re stunning! 😲
Really nice concept, Dude. I’d gladly use it once you’re happy with it. I agree with the galaxy map too.
“Hey guys we need your help to fight the FO. Meet in 1 hour in the mall parking lot behind JC Penney. Peace.”
Could we reach out for produce placement sponsorship?
Think it was around 10:20. Season 2 finale
The issue with 4k is the codec to convert to mp4. Many people have tried to teach me but I can’t get my head around it so everything I do is only in 1080p.
@Nev, The only things that look off with it being sped up that much is the artifacts moving so quickly they don’t match the speed of the smoke, The lightning flashes are almost missable and the camera movement/speed seems to change throughout the clip. Are you time mapping it?
Love the forest and colour correction.
EDIT: Also, If that is Kylo’s Shuttle, Why would he park it so far away from the battle? Doesn’t seem right, imo
I’m personally making as many extending shots to Mustafar as possible, mainly for pacing and to establish this work.
Nev, that colour is amazing! Are you motion tracking the forest in the background?
I think this should be renamed as the Covid-19 Cut. haha!
I know in my head but I’ve trying to wait for the natural lighting to match. I may have to wait until autumn but it’s the UK so anything is possible.
Thanks! I’m glad you like them 😃
Covid has been a blessing and a nightmare all in one. It has allowed me to spend more time on this cut but it has limited the maximum creativity I wanted to put into filming new scenes. I’m so glad I found a company that produces such great props so this shot should come out great…
I found an amazing replica prop company that has now helped me get the perfect version of Han Solo’s Lucky Dice for an extended scene I’m filming soon. Check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJLLnFhsJ_Y
I have surges of productivity and then I procrastinate for awhile. I’m actually probably gonna do the latter for a few days! “Somebody take this load off of me!”
Story of my life! haha. Just drop me a line when you’re ready…
That’s a nice touch, I’ll give those a try. A Vignette is a definite. I’ll play around with a few options and see if it works with both dark and light scenes.
What’s beautiful is the amount positivity, support, praise and teamwork that’s now back on this thread. It’s truly incredible what’s being achieved here. 👏
Yeah, I’ve done the same but I can’t make up my mind if flashbacks need something to indicated. I feel Padme scene was a little overdone but I guess that shows the audience that the vision is destroyed and blurry.
I’m wondering if all visions need some form of edge blur filter to indicate it’s a vision? They never used it in the original films but I feel it would add a layer of detail.
Thanks Hal, I’ll sleep when this movie kills me.
Oh cool, I’m glad you’re using the volcanic shot. Did I give whoever coloured it the high res version?
Nice LUT on Mustafar. It feels more earthy without so much red. Is that Poppa’s or Skenera’s version?
I’m not sure what current shots are being used in this cut but does this help? https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/11Rb_NpcX39A6gcDtwzx1rFc5X3AjLW7S
I’m currently working on 19 other shots and potentially moving house AGAIN! plus the crackling saber shots still need to be finished so, I’m a little hectic at the moment but happy to chip away at bits when I can find the time.
Here are a few things.
Puppet Show (3rd Pass):

DUDE, You’re knocking this stuff out of the park 😃
Puppets look incredible. If the clunk sound is added maybe have them as crude as possible or like a wood instrument? here are a few wood sound effects https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkU1PHC5cVY&list=OLAK5uy_lahPeo9h_ydQEM88bfOcDgh6zswVPEc14&index=94
Mustafar: I’ve been working on a similar scene and you can get away with speeding up the source footage 200% to give it more pace. I also have a first-order tie fighter 3d model if you know how to use it?
Capt Hux: The soundtrack dips really awkwardly. Are you just dipping the centre channel in 5,1 to add the new VO or is it from a stereo source? I can take a look at it for you if you wanna send me the separate line?
Okay, I want to try this now. But does anyone have an idea of what footage to put the transmission into?
Still putting the sequence together, right now considering animating the entire Hyperspace / Imperial shuttle shot in blender because I cannot access The Mandalorian scene, I’ve already cleaned up the audio for Lando and managed to remove the kid cheering, but definitely should still be static / crackly when Kylo hears it.
Check your inbox, Dude.
Though I’m sure someone could easily find some Sad Adam Driver Noises in Marriage Story if they wanted to add that to the bit where they take turns dying.
Dude, I listened/watched hours of interviews and audio clips just to find Adam do the right exhale, I ended up using this https://youtu.be/54WFSXE1DyE that was a painful week.
