From what I remember, it's only the music in the rear channels that is reversed - the sound effects are correctly positioned. So, in order to fix the issue, you would need to isolate the music from the effects. Not easy.
Rob's not the only gay in the village, y'know...
Just strip the unwanted audio before converting.
This is how I imagine it would work:
Germaaine's ruler decides that the whole galaxy shoud speak Germaa. He sends an invasion force to the planet Polis.
Britonah declares interplanetary war on Germaiine.
Germaaine then invades Hothand and Belgin. Francia immediately surrenders.
Germaaine's plans to invade Britonah are delayed when they lose the fighter battle in the exosphere. So instead they decide to blast the f*ck out of all major cities on the planet.
While the inhabitants of Merikaan are all watching what's going on in that part of the galaxy, a force from Japin 4 launches a surprise raid and destroys most of their war fleet.
Italo sides with Germaaine and shows off its droid army. The army is later rendered ineffective when Britonah discovers the 'off' switch.
The inhabitants of Switzzzk watch everything with disdainful uninterest, but aren't too proud to launder Germaaine's stolen credits.
Merikaan eventually decides to help Britonah and together they liberate the galaxy.
Merikaan then invents a space station with enough firepower to destroy an entire planet, and uses it on Japin 4 (twice).
Aleksbmw said:Im thinking of releasing a blue ray format release also, since whats the point in IVTC the whole thing then cramming it back into interlaced for a dvd. Progressive > interlaced.
(Pedant: it's actually "Blu-ray")
If done correctly, the MPEG2 video on a DVD is actually encoded as progressive. The framerate is made up from 23.976fps to 29.97fps by pulldown flags in the video stream. A progressive scan DVD player will reconstruct the original film frames on playback.
However, the disadvantage with the DVD-Video format is the MPEG2 encoding itself. Encoders tend to struggle with losts of random noise which can lead to compression artefacts. It would actually be a good idea to use a more modern AVC/h.264 encoder such as x264 which can better deal with the noise present in the source. Standard definition video would of course not need to fill a full BD-25 disc, but a DVD-9 sized AVCHD disc or MKV file would be a excellent choice.
Technically by the way those owning the re release gout dvd can watch mine with no trouble since the master tape is basically the same.
True, but the master tape - and the laserdisc - has more vertical detail, as the GOUT DVD has had some filtering in the vertical direction carried out.
Are you still using the PDI Deluxe capture card? Did you do any tests to compare the result from composite (using the card's comb filter) to s-video (using the X9's comb filter)?
Is there any colour adjustment in the script? (It looks like the greenish tinge has been removed from the blockade runner scenes.) What filters are you using for noise reduction?
x264 is not a VFW codec - so, unlike Xvid or DivX and so on, you cannot use it from within VirtualDub. (Actually, I see there is a VFW version, but it's not officially supported).
Most people use Mencoder or MeGUI to encode.
This thread should tell you everyhting you need to know:

He wasn't referring to you. Fredstar posted a direct link, which I removed.
Take it into this thread please:
Anyone who spends time reading the threads in the Star Wars fan edits & preservations forum will recognise this typical exchange of posts:
Ady: I've just finished xyz. Going up in a.b.sw now.
Person A: I'm waiting for the torrent.
Person B: Is there a torrent yet?
Person C: Can someone upload to RS please?
Person Z: Why don't you just get newsgroups, better, faster, no seeding, yada yada yada...
Person A: too hard
Person B: too complicated
Person C: too expensive
... and so on.
Now I don't mind there being a discussion about the merits of different methods of project distribution, but at the moment it seems we have the same discussion in every f**king thread, and TBH it's getting a little boring reading the same arguments over and over.
Therefore, I have started this thread for all future newsgroups vs torrents discussion. Hopefully this will keep the actual project threads free from clutter and make it easier to follow the actual project.
(Note to self: I must not attempt humour on these forums. It doesn't work.)
Floella is still working in children's TV - she provides the voice for Mama Mirabelle.
(It's a bit sad that the only TV I get to watch these days is CBeebies!)
(Sorry for veering off topic...)

(I have no idea why that clip is such appalling quality!)
Because it's a cam! Some prat couldn't work out how to capture VHS, or use a DVD recorder, so instead pointed a cam at a TV screen!
Just bought a 56" 1080p LCD for £50.
The volume control was stuck on maximum, but at that price I couldn't turn it down.
(Boom tisch..)
1. The highest bitrate for Dolby Digital (in any channel configuration) on DVD is 448kbps. The recommended bitrate for 2.0 surround is 192kbps.
2. How's your maths? 48kHz (1000 samples per second) x 16 bits per sample x 2 channels = 1536kbps. I suppose you could use 96kHz/24 bit if you really wanted to...
In the early/mid nineties, I remember there was a phase when VHS releases had a certificate shown before the film, then some bloke came on explaining "this video has been classified 18" and went on to talk about "sexual swear words" or something.
Anyone remember what I'm talking about?
Puggo - you're a star. Congratulations on completing this project.
Looking forward to seeing it.
So today I was clearing out some old emails, and noticed that this page from 2005 is still up:
My guess is that it's one of the AviSynth plugins. You could try moving all dll files out of your plugins folder, then putting them back in one by one until you identify which one is causing the problem.
I don't know why anyone would recommend VirtualDubMod - it's extremely old and outdated.
DJ, do you get that error when opening an AviSynth script? Does it occur if you load the AVI directly? What about if you strip everything down from the script except for the AviSource() line?
Yep, I think you need a new burner.
Also, see this:

Don't know how accurate this is, but I found it funny.
(This was a spoof shown on Not The Nine O'Clock News, and scanned in from a book I found.)
There will not be a V2:

Not quite - your animated GIF is still 473KB in size.
