What the heck is a binary load lifter?
It’s very similar to a moister vaporator.

Yes, to those kids he’s Santa Clause. I’ll agree with you on that. I wish I could still believe in Santa Clause…
Yeah it’s a real shame that when kids grow up they no longer believe in kindness, charity, and good will to all. They burn their false idols and never teach their own children about mythology to instil a sense of right on them.
Oh wait they don’t, and that was point of the movie.

its fine that people don’t like this movie, but you cannot deny that a large section think they are on a crusade against anything that isn’t white powerful and male. It’s gotten a lot worse since a certain person was elected as now they think their beliefs are accepted. It just makes me sick what the fandom has become.
Yeah it’s kinda sad. If Rey was Ray there would be no discussion. The same people ignore the OT Alliance leadership to cry about it in TLJ. It’s the same with those lunatics who said TFA was eroding the values of same race marriage or something. Ew.
No but seriously have you ever seen a fan film before
My eyes, what have you done to them?
I know, emotional stuff. It’s just like TLJ.
Jeez just that gif alone is awful, weird skin, weird eyes, and the head is too elongated.
No but seriously have you ever seen a fan film before
Please try and format one post correctly before making another four.

There’s a difference between piloting a speeder and an aircraft. A speeder is more like a car, while an aircraft is like an aircraft. I don’t think it’s hard to imagine that Finn knew how to operate speeders (in fact he does so in one of the TFA deleted scenes).
Right, his training included hovercrafts and melee combat but not ships and turrets.
Will someone please explain what the MCU has to do with Star Wars and/or why that’s bad?
Marvel Studios movies have jokes, Star Wars has jokes. So they’re identical.

5/100 is what your next-door neighbor’s terrible attempt at a movie deserves.
Exactly.
They wasted however much money on this and it just looked awful, when instead they should have spent time developing the characters that mattered. On paper. Good job.

between all the negative comments about Luke in this movie and how many people I heard claim Vader’s 30 seconds on Tantive IV was the absolute best part of Rogue One, I’m beginning to think maybe he was right… 😕
Agreed.

Also with added locations and rubbish ships (bomber) it appeals to the more patient.
I’m not sure what this part means either…
I hope my new years resolution is 4K.
This joke is terrible. Thank you.
Half and half is a bit much. Maybe 70-30. The 30% is the “but muh Luke” crowd who are just louder for now.
It died once already in 2005, and they gave that horse a good beating for a couple of years after. Now I’m not sure, it could go either way. I can still take or leave the bits that are too much, just like we’ve all been doing since 1997.
I hate to ask, but what the heck is that?
Jabba’s death scene. With extra choking. ROTJ by James Khan.
Keep in mind the novel also says Obi Wan and Uncle Owen were brothers. Old printings do anyway.
Yeah that makes too much sense for George to include.

I still don’t get why people have issues with Dexter’s diner. We had a sleazy bar in the first film. They probably have fast food in the GFFA too. Sentient beings like to go out to eat, no matter what galaxy they’re in.
It’s because Mos Eisley Cantina wasn’t like an obnoxious nostalgia bar for a period in Earth history with matching Earth robot accents. I could be wrong! Maybe it was all an elaborate Wild West fan club.

I’d have rather he said Palpatine. However, I’m thankful we didn’t get Hayden Christensen in this, so he’s not going to be in the Trilogy unless JJ pulls a 180 on his ideas of the Prequels.
He should have said that the Jedi were so blind that a simple senator took power, it be more powerful and less … cringey. Now we have to consider that Luke caught up with friends for a drink after the war in that 1950s diner.

in the end all she got from Luke were a couple of incomplete lessons, and some books, and despite this her Force powers continued to grow to the extend, that she beat Luke in a duel, saved Kylo in their battle with Snoke’s guards, and moved a ton of rocks with ease. That’s where I checked out.
Well in theory the Force is something you just need to have faith in. Luke didn’t even know what it was while Rey had this grand idea of it in her mind already. She moved a few rocks, because she heard that was a thing. I don’t think anything she did came naturally, it was more imitation. As for the battles, I’d have to rewatch but it seemed with Luke he was old and without any Force connections, and in the throne room they were struggling by the end and had to work together.
Solo will have an original theme by John Williams.
Well… good for John.
Does the Darth Sidous reference annoy anyone else? I wonder if there is a take with Mark Hamill saying “The Emperor” instead.
It annoys me too.
Yes. After all we know Darth is a first name not a dumb title.
DrDre said:
Either way none of the films suggested balance of the Force implies dark and light balancing each other, and dark rising to balance light or vicd versa. In any case this interpretation has been debunked by Lucas himself.
To be fair this is inconsistent in the prequels like everything else. Lucas is hardly creating a fully developed canon ahead of time for later film makers to reference. In TPM they say the Sith were extinct, and the boy could just be “the one”. Then in (I think ROTS) this changes suddenly when Obi-wan says Anakin was destined to create balance by “destroying the Sith”. Who were extinct.
Right, I tried to find the exact time but it wasn’t clear on the other discussion I came across. Anyway, so there’s obviously a couple of night and day changes on the island… unless some of that is actually in the past before the FO regrouped and arrived to destroy the base. Maybe I’m overthinking it.
