This thread is sanity with a twist.

This thread is sanity with a twist.
Hahaha
How I refer to the films
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of The Jedi
The Phantom Menace
Attack of The Clones
Revenge of The Sith
The Force Awakens
Rogue One
The Last Jedi
That’s a bingo.
I’m glad to see the good old ra-ra-rehash argument is back, the circle is complete.
The characters in the ST and their arcs are original, that’s good enough for me.
That and they are entertaining and well made. Almost like a real movie.
The prequels themselves were only original if you ignore all the stuff stolen from other movies, and then all the recycled things that make up that “ring theory” garbage.
I think this can probably be covered as a sub-question in your last thread
Yep, they only make action figures for significant scenes.
Most likely he was just in an extended scene of Rey at Niima Outpost.
Yes, the toy companies got handed the designs before it was removed.
Just a design coincidence. Zuvio is still in a few frames of Jakku.
So Jedi padawan students wear helmets now? Okay…
Huh? I’m not giving you an interpretation, that’s just how it is. Unless you want to believe Jakku has a rainy season and Zuvio had a twin brother… Duvio.
Dude Kylo kills doesn’t look much like a ‘student’ looks like Zuvio.
Just a design coincidence. Zuvio is still in a few frames of Jakku.
It would have made more sense to show him getting greyer as time went on, since it would then line up with Vader’s face too as they were both dark side users. Didn’t he look worse in AOTC than ROTS? It’s a redundant rebate I suppose.
Oh I always talk about those guys when watching ROTJ. I never thought about it that way, but it makes some sense. Usually I figure that they just represent politicians haha.

For that matter, I’d be all for going back to them using blasters made from real guns.
There’s some real consternation on set when the gunfights are that loud.
I prefer the look of the weapons in general which had been based on real blank firing guns. The new ones look too much like toys.
Sure but these aren’t the days of experimental rotoscope effects or 80s hand animation.
I have to say the idea of him being voiced SE-DVD style is worse than the idea of him being in the movie to begin with or having his own spinoff.
Classic Bib Fortuna’s cloak was missing, so I had to steal another one from Morgan Freeman out of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
I know they kept Lumpy, at least.
What about Stinky
Sure visually in terms of colours and shot composition it was far more interesting overall.
Can we talk about saber effects for a second, I liked how they looked more in TFA. Here the original blade is weirdly pointed and too clean? Sounds might have been better too, but I can’t verify.
Yeah there were more waves just like today. I remember picking up R2, Han, Chewbacca and Vader when they had just arrived. It was really funny to compare them to the originals I had collected where everyone was so thin, there was no middle ground.
I think the quote from Mark Hamill was “Good God, they’ve put me on steroids!” but here it’s “Me? I wish!” http://www.starwars.com/news/force-throwback-the-first-modern-star-wars-action-figures
I don’t remember the sabers being this long, but the extra blasters were way too big and the plastic was always bent.

Don’t forget Kenner brought back the toys in 1995, a full two years before the SE’s. Sure, Luke and the gang looked like they’d been hanging out on Eternia, but damn it was good to see Star Wars toys on the shelves again!
Hah the jacked up figures, those were the days. Galoob made some great stuff too. That period was the height of Star Wars for me growing up with the 1995 video tapes. Looking back it was all clearly a big brand awareness push as they headed for Shadows of the Empire, the SEs and the PT.

I still prefer the Rankin Bass animated version.
Hah I give that one a pass too
Eh I was hoping one would be Dengar
Is this better? 😉
Too soon!

Hopefully Kylo Ren wears the Snokeing jacket as he sits on his throne.
This is my one real hope for the movie. New matching helmet too.
Holes in the hatch would probably let in debris in the heat of a battle. How many open air cockpit jet fighters have you ever seen? 😉
It’s a space superiority fighter XD
I swear this isn’t made up. Maybe it is.
