Yeah GOUT is just a laserdisc rip, basically junk.
Yeah GOUT is just a laserdisc rip, basically junk.
Yeah but that kind of thing doesn’t exist before TPM. And the idea of the saber was heavy or hard to control unless they concentrated was a behind the scenes idea from the first movie, right?
Yeah but those are like mainstream movies with A-List actors in, not some kind of obscure cult favourites for people that know who Moon Lee and Yukari Oshima are. SW77 may be out on Blu-ray before Dreaming the Reality… but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Damn.

It exists in universe? What calendar did they use before?
Well I mean Yoda only said it was the Force that should never be used to attack. You could argue that the unruly bar flies being chopped just with a weapon was fine.
Yeah the team later became Gainax. Anno always has a lot of projects going on because of a lack of money in the industry. He agreed to remakes of Eva to drum up financing for other releases for example. Space Battleship Yamato had a big celebration exhibit about a month ago that he attended, so things are always in the works.
This is very interesting news, I wonder how this came about. Good on them over at the BFI for wrangling it. Of course it’s also going to make everyone wonder if a home media release will finally be legal. I have to be skeptical and imagine that Disney only will allow this as a museum piece or for festival screenings…
Good for him I guess. I checked out of these shorts a while ago.
It was the Despecialized edition, before the app was removed.
I can’t even see the ads through all this spam.
The Daicon IV anime convention (1983) opened with a short film that includes some interesting (unauthorized) characters…

Clive Revill, Voice of the Emperor in ‘The Empire Strikes Back,’ Dies at 94
Interesting they report his passing with this role that hasn’t been officially part of the film for many years.
Lego TFA has most of the cast returning for new dialogue, which seems kind of insane today. I wonder what kind of shiny thing they dangled in front of Harrison Ford for this.
There’s probably a thread or you can make one for that kind of thing. I wonder who the “industry professionals” are.
I think maybe they will release a 23-disc Blu-ray box set of Star Wars from the original camera negatives in 4K.
Very optimistic of you.

I think it’s the lighting. I’m impressed with how well her hairs are showing up in front of the greenscreen background, but the lighting is bad. I do not know enough to say more than that.
Also the double establishing shot is weird and both of them are bad
I dunno it’s like both their faces are slightly weird, or like tired and puffy, like they got called back the studio in the middle of the night for George’s big Shakespeare moment.
Probably some kind of re-shoot shenanigans. There are a few bits where the actors look weirdly different, like they’re tired or the hair and makeup is off.
Is there a downloadable version of the UK 1982 ITV broadcast?
If not, could someone who might have a copy tell me if Luke misses with the grappling hook?
Apologies if this has been asked a million times and causes a laugh or facepalm, I’m desperate.Cheers
Hi HappyToast, unfortunately it has been asked a million times and at this stage seems to be apocryphal.
I agree that it sounds kind of low energy, it sounds kind of like a midi to me.
Right? It’s like a callback to the original Lucasarts games.
I like Luke and Artoo, and Luke winking at Threepio and holding Leia’s hand. Especially the scene between Mark and Carrie that feels real to me. Mutual love and respect.
These kind of real moments aren’t common in the series tbh.
Can I just say though that the title crawl music is still wrong. Like it’s the wrong mix. I can’t remember if they used this version in all three or just the first two.
I haven’t seen TFA in a while and last time around I felt like it runs out of steam by the third act. I just get kind of bored for some reason despite the dramatic highlights. Meanwhile TLJ I just randomly revisited and I still think it’s a notch above. It’s not well structured in the middle despite the action build ups (the saber breaking and the lightspeed crash) and I don’t like how often it stalls on Canto Bight. Rose and DJ still don’t work for me as fake morality paths for Finn. And the climax where she nearly kills herself and Finn is nonsense. It should have been edited to show Finn’s speeder crashing by itself out of luck. That being said I still like nearly all of the Luke stuff and Mark Hamill’s performance. I just find it interesting. Shame the Rey parent stuff/Kylo stuff is a dead end though thanks to part three… which I haven’t gone back to despite a mildly improved fan version.
Maybe they don’t want TFA and ROTS clashing in the same year?
Yeah I was going to post about this as I don’t know what this service is. Or how it’s a thing. I assume it’s going to be pulled ASAP.
On social media a few people were talking about it, and somebody said it was Harmy’s version. Very fishy.
This isn’t too surprising considering they’ve done this for the previous 2 Prequel films
Did AotC get a re-release?
I don’t remember that one but then TPM got a 25th anniversary one last year just to be confusing. Maybe it’s a pandemic timing thing. Or in the case of this year a cash thing.
Hopefully, the news is true
It’s not.

We’ll probably make an announcement months or a year out, and I have every intention of sticking around to help that person be successful. I’m already producing the Mandalorian movie, and Shawn Levy’s is after that.
