This time, I watched it on our living room TV and with the occasional taking the dog out for a few moments even then, I now better understand the story and the reason it was so loved and praised by many.
Empire is such a mood movie for me, it’s dark and mysterious and spends time more on real characterisation than anything of the others. It’s also strange and ambiguous in places, are there any particular moments that you have in mind? SW is still my favourite because it’s lighter and fits that adventure movie arc, but they’re almost on equal footing.
Also she talked about on the 40 at 40 interviews.

Yeah I had a few of those in DFII. Some custom Mos Eisley levels and an Obi-wan/Vader duel.
I remember in Jedi Outcast we built a zombie Jedi by stealing textures from Return to Castle Wolfenstein. People seemed to thing the character sound were really creepy but they were just taken from Bossk.
My go to custom map was The Ladder
Nice news. Shame that we can’t rely on it to signal a home release though, I’ve known other films that have screenings at festivals etc but never see the light of day anywhere else.
Should’ve been R5D4
Ugh, that edited Vader strikes again… NES packaging would have made more sense.
Oh god that’s the one they had up on the SW official site somewhere and it vanished. What a monstrosity.
Double post, move along
Extended demo
So what does digitally remastered mean? Transferred to laser disc?
Hux cuts his own head off in a hilarious pratfall.
Also you can bet if 3D Blu-rays still a thing they’d want to release those. Which I’m guessing are probably sitting on a shelf somewhere since only TPM got released? Not counting sequel trilogy of course.
I totally disagree. The movie set everything up in a way to show that he’d clearly make it. That’s what made Rose saving him very frustrating, and still does.
The speeder should really have lost a wing or spiralled out of control, which would then require that last second crashing manoeuvre by Rose. I mean it’s obvious he can’t make it because the ship is melting but y’know…
^ an entertaining and informative watch that, nice one 😃
They just released one for the prequels, they noticed some weird and interesting stuff
Regardless of whether the line works or not I think it’s very poorly timed during a life-or-death moment. The delivery of ‘saving you, you dummy’ would be far snappier by itself.
Film history is history, to be preserved not re-written. But look who has the reigns…
Had no idea this existed , how did I never hear this ? Ron Carter Empire Jazz …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PjQjyPk19c

At this rate it’s about as likely as a director’s cut of Solo and Rogue One.
I’d have preferred 2 more games in the style of Lego TFA to be honest. But as expected keeping on brand with the “saga” comes first…
Everything being an open world kind of bores me to be honest. Games like Horizon and Red Dead are nice but when everything just copies the same template it’s often just a dull wasteland full of busy work. That said I also wanted to see where the game Amy Hennig was working on would have gone. The way this looks like a less interesting version of that - SW meets Uncharted - with lightsabers added is pretty odd.
I think you mean Darth Vader and Han Solo. Anything else wouldn’t sell enough for the likes of these publishers.
To be honest I think the lack of games and the way it looks so generic are part of the same problem; nobody at EA wants to produce anything but safe bets. So it looks like bland Uncharted style platforming and whatever action combos are common now. Not that Lucasarts did a particularly great job near the end either I suppose… The Force Unleashed comes to mind.
