Univers Ultra Condensed?
Univers Ultra Condensed?
Excellent work. I also could not stop laughing at the CGI Yavin, it’s been a very long time since I watched that version and I never realised it either.
Confusingly I think the gold and silver 2004 boxes were both widescreen here, but one was a retailer exclusive.
I never even knew EpI Racer had a sequel. But then again I was more of an F-Zero fan.
Is it even a remake of Jedi Academy, or just a port of the old game?
Looks like a port. Looks awful.
Looks about the same. An actual upgrade of JKII and JA together in the same package might be worth it, but proper remakes take more effort I guess.

The Skywalker Legacy - Making The Rise of Skywalker
Spoilers obviously
Yeah that’s exactly it. Except only a few ships have that fuselage shape and nothing in the OT looks like that.
As for the forum sections, I don’t know. I can’t find anything any more.
They realised this by EpII and started making the vehicles more textured. Although the Trade Federation and the Chancellor’s ship at the start of TPM are more in line with what you’d expect. The problem is that everything is so busy looking in art direction terms. The Jedi Starfighter and other clone wars vehicles are really overdesigned, instead of being simpler reduced versions of what would follow. A lot of them look like what would have been post ROTJ. You can see some of them are intentionally made to look like 1950s cars in an attempt to reach for that “retro” aesthetic but I don’t think the results work.
Who are they kidding with that price! I think I paid that much a couple of months after it was released.
The discussion starts there and goes on a while.
There’s a variety of screenshots here if you look back. It’s much colder looking.

Really? I thought it was still a thing, like those sets that a Blu-Ray and a 3D disc packed in, and they always had the nicer box art. For example something like Avengers End Game was on there when I was browsing.
JJ should have not been involved in writing. But I guess that’s what they offered him to come back at all? Should have just got a competent yes-man to give it the full ROTJ mirror image. Maybe sit Kasdan and RJ together and make them do a properly good script since they were the authors of the other 2 puzzle pieces. The so-called creative process is baffling, the way it was clearly rushed out instead of being carefully executed to tie the trilogy up. I don’t get a lot of big blockbuster decision making, there’s no brain power considering how much money is involved.
Ah that’s what I’m thinking off, the magazine cover. It’s weird though, the airbrushed look.
Has anyone seen a weird 3D version of each seperate movie being advertised?

On this page (not sure hotlinks work) what is the header image exactly? It’s not a screenshot from the film but it’s very familiar, is like a 1997 promo image?
It didn’t have to come out of nowhere as long as they referenced TFA properly. Starkiller could have been a test or a way of weakening the New Republic before the real masterplan was unveiled. It could have all been a way of doing something interesting… instead of nothing.
Shots of it like that are probably in ROTJ finale, which I guess is what the painting is based on.
They had the opportunity:
A) to expand on Snoke and write some proper lore
B) to expand on the “Force Dyad” and write some proper lore
C) to show Kylo as a truly broken figure who gets worse with the higher rank
Instead it’s basically wasted and feels like a sequel to movie that doesn’t exist. I mean Palpatine could have been involved too in some guise. There was a chance to finally explain the dumb super weapons and the state galactic politics. But this all requires a competent screenwriter.
I saw Annie Hall was on amazon Prime so I thought I’d give it a watch. This dreck beat Star Wars as best picture in 1977? WTF!?
It was so awful I couldn’t finish it. Turned it off after about 20 or 30 mins. And that was being generous. I wanted to stop after about 10 mins but tried to give it the benefit of the doubt.
But geez. It’s basically a pathetic, miserable man being pathetic and miserable and making everyone around him miserable too. What was wrong with people that they would vote for this trash over Star Wars?
lolno.
Star Wars should have won, but.Yeah.
Uhuh.
And yes I also think it’s Tan-tiv.
I guess Disney liquidated him.
May the force be with you.
That would be interesting to hear the outcome of.
But I suspect the outcome will be “this is the only version that exists and it was never different because we’re Disney”
No HD formats existed until 2006, and HD TVs were rare in 2000.
Ah I misread the question. I guess the answer is a mystery then (unless they were still tinkering with all of the films including TPM).
It was a confusing time
It still is!
Oh right I see the difference, pretty interesting. Looks like they will be rare, and online searches for them on sale shows only things like Christmas in the Stars. No idea if any other members collect this sort of thing or happened to work for record stores or radio stations in the 70s.
I mean it would be weird if he was the only kid involved right?
