Bingo. The last ‘real’ release was like 25 years ago. But now the new expanded material supports this version of events with NZ Boba and Macklunkey etc so it’s going to stay dead.
They would never admit fault and retcon anything, but Clone Wars sets a precedent for additional media that normalises and patches over mistakes for an existing trilogy over time.
Star Wars has had a precedent to retcon things since the moment Vader said “I am your father” way back in 1980.
Coming up with a single plot development in a sequel isn’t the same as a dozen prequel TV shows.

Whether people like them or not the current ST will be buried in about 5 years by other media. Probably to included new trilogies or even new stories set in that period. Probably stories that will include more interesting character struggles that might be smaller scale than Palpy’s Revenge but have more depth. It wouldn’t be hard. So dream on, there’s no end in sight and even the most grave errors made in TROS could one day just be another zero weight side story…
Plo Kloon is a breath of fresh air after spending time with so many Jedi characters that are in constant snark/sarcasm mode.
I finally saw the Umbara Arc, which was pretty good. That being said I was thinking it would go all the way with a Paths of Glory ending instead of what happens.

Honestly I used to care less about any of the problems with SW as a whole. I could overlook the Special Edition changes and happily watch the prequels and all that other stuff. So in a way I can appreciate what people love about this stuff from endless force power battles to every minor character being integral to every tiny thing. But times have changed and you have to develop your critical skills sooner or later; that’s life.
He comes out of nowhere in the sense that he takes away all agency from the heroes. Replace him with another character that is alive in the current canon and it doesn’t work despite being exactly the same scenario.

Considering the all changes they did to the snow speeder effects from Hoth, I’m surprised these weren’t changed too.

Very interesting and some very valid points. Maybe goes a bit off track and overboard in the second half of the analysis though.
I’m into series 3 now and the best elements are still the villains and the clones. Actual Jedi? Not so much. I feel like Anakin and Obiwan are still doing their wooden PT schtick and nothing has clicked with Ahsoka.
I’m sure he will phone in a few lines for an awful digital double if they offer enough cash.
