Transformers chick Megan Fox.

Wondered when she'd show up. The tatoos reallly put me off. I suppose that she could use a little meat on her bones. I now have a geek badge that none of you do: I saw the trailer for Transformers and missed her because I was examining the new designs. And I went to an art house theater and sat the credits of a vampire movie in Russian when I don't read Cyrillic. So there. I am a bigger geek that you all. MWA HAHAHAHA! I might as well just wear a T-shirt that says "I've never had sex!" Hell, yesterday at work, I chatted with a little kid about Spider-Man and Transformers, only to find out that my next customer was a gorgeous girl with emerald green eyes who was like a half-a foot taller than me and looked like she belonged on the cover of Cosmo or Maxim. She just stared at me like "So you've never had sex, have you?" and I was just like "Um, have you seen the Empire Strikes Back?" She left and the next customer was laughing his ass off and I was like "Why didn't you tell me Scarlett Johanson was in line!" I was funny as hell (Now. Not then.).

Megan Fox: "I have the libido of a 15-year old boy. I like sex. A lot."
Scarlett Johanson: "I don't think human beings are monogomus by nature. I'm not promiscuious, but I'm open minded about sex."

Hey, hope springs eternal for you guys, huh?

I enjoyed Bruce Campbell's "Man With The Screaming Brain" that they showed a few months ago.

Is there anything Campbell DOESN'T do well? He rules!

Bruce Campbell is the man. What the hell are we talking about this for? This is not open for discussion!

It all boils down to "Will Lucas's hatred for the OOT outweigh his love of making money."

Oh I'm sure it won't; Luca$ has proven so many times that he will swallow his words, deny them, etc., for the mighty dollar.

I wouldn't call the situation hopeless at all. A few years ago we heard how many people say, "The OOT will never be on DVD" yet here it is. Yes it was a crappy transfer, etc., but the point is that it WAS released, which shows there is probably even more hope now than ever before. Times change and people change as they age, and you don't know what Luca$ has up his sleeve, who he has around him now and in the future and what they may be telling him (and what they may convince him to do), etc. No matter how you slice it the cash cow is quickly dying and Luca$ needs to come up with new sources of revenue now more than ever. There are no more movies to hype, no more people waiting for the next three years...the well is now to a mere trickle. Luca$ has recycled and updated the SEs so many times now and the PT following isn't anywhere near as close to what I'm positive he thought it would be, so what would the easiest way to make money from here on out be? The OOT! The original fans will always want it, and there is now new generations out there who want it because it is new to them...

Hang in there, I'm sure it is coming...

I needed that. I just hope to god that you're right.

Lucasfilm to 'Star Wars' Fans: No Blu-ray, HD DVD on the Horizon

Mon May 21, 2007 at 11:59 AM ET

Responding to persistent rumors of a pending release of the 'Star Wars' films on high-def disc, Lucasfilm has issued a statement denying any such plans for the series in the foreseeable future.

Ever since both next-gen formats launched last year, George Lucas' blockbuster space saga has been one of the most highly-requested "holy grails" on high-def.

But hopes hit a new high several weeks ago when early adopters started buzzing about this Amazon.com listing for the Star Wars Trilogy on Blu-ray. Such "placeholder" pages for highly anticipated titles are common practice with the web's biggest retailer, enabling customers to sign up for an email alert when the item in question becomes available. Unfortunately, this can lead to confusion for some consumers, who mistake these placeholders to mean the title has been officially announced.

Hoping to quell the web wildfire, the folks at PC World contacted Lucasfilm for comment early last week, and were told the following by company spokesperson John Singh:

"Lucasfilm Ltd. has no plans to release any of the Star Wars movies on Blu-ray or HD DVD. Listings on Amazon.com or any other Web site are purely speculative and erroneous."

It's worth noting that such a statement should not be much of a surprise (if still a disappointment) to long-time industry watchers. Lucas was one of the longest hold-outs on DVD despite that format's fast-growing mainstream acceptance, waiting over four years after launch before he allowed the first 'Star Wars' film to be released on disc (which turned out to be 'Episode I: The Phantom Menace' in September 2001).

Needless to say, we'll keep you posted on any future news of a 'Star Wars' release on high-def disc. Stay tuned...

Not exactly a huge surprise.

LOL

Here's my take on it all in another thread:

On a related note, I noticed that the prices on HD-DVD players have really dropped. With The Matrix trilogy now on the format, I'm sure LFL won't be too far behind. Since Fox is with Blu-ray (correct?) imagine how big of a push that format would get if the SW movies were released on it! Knowing Lucas, he's not going to let this opportunity slide...

Yeah, it's a foregone conclusion that Lucas will release the films in HD, but not the OOT.

Will the original 'Star Wars' ever be properly presented on DVD?

Like the GOUT did to the original bootlegs, Lucas won't do it unless a DVD-quality version made by fans becomes highly-sought-after and LFL feels they need to squash its' success.

F*#kin A

Outside of X0, what are you talking about? I just can't see enough demand to get Lucas to care.
