Why? He brought a lot of fun to the film even though he had very little screen time. Also the “Who talks first” exchange is classic

When Poe supposedly died was so early on in the film that making it a huge thing would have felt weird. Now if he dies in VIII or IX then make it a big thing because the audience would have spent a lot more time getting to know him.

You sure seem to have a problem understanding what I want for Batman. I liked the first two Burton films and that’s about it. I never said I’m a Batman fan and the source material means nothing to me, nor is there any reason for it to matter to me. I’m not arguing the two Burton films are the most Batman-y or anything, I simply don’t care about anything beyond those two movies. Keaton is Batman for me and the faithfulness of the portrayal means nothing to me.

Good for you but to me he’s a perversion of what Batman is. If you like that then good for you but to he’s a meh Batman. Guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Because Batman is a comic book character and every person to play the character say for Adam West should adhere to the basics of the character. A character that originates in comic books. Keaton doesn’t fight like Batman, he isn’t stealthy like Batman, he kills people and he doesn’t even look like Batman. Even Bale with his realistic portrayal of the character is more like the comic book Batman than Keaton is.

Even if it’s your opinion it’s still strange to disregard the source material (which is Batman in the comics) when talking about a comic book character. I’m not saying you can’t have your opinion but it’s still a strange thought process.

I wouldn’t believe it if someone said their experience in the film was ruined because they knew beforehand that there isn’t a scene where they get to see two animated characters do it. This is a Batman movie. I don’t think anyone wants to watch cartoons do it in a Batman movie, let alone be heartbroken if they don’t get to see it.

It has been like 3 years since I read The Killing Joke but I don’t remember Batman and you know who kissing so assuming that is something that didn’t happen in the original Graphic Novel that’s a huge thing. That can definitely have an effect on someone’s viewing experience. Especially someone who is into Batman more than you and I.
