Not that I’m surprised but you clearly don’t understand what the word “plot” means.

Not that I’m surprised either, but you clearly don’t understand something that you are trying to mock someone else about.

If you think the plot of Rogue One was to get the Rebels the Death Star plans, then time to guess again. 😉

Hmm…I remember Impscum saying something similar about TFA.

Well it was a bad plot.

Aside from the pacing issues the plot was fine. It’s nothing great but it gets the job done.

It had too many characters including too many villains.

I agree and if they cut and/or combined a couple of the crew members into one we could have gotten a band of interesting, layered, flawed and fun heroes.

But hey, did you notice I said something nice?

I’m struggling to see anything nice in that post.

Last song you listened to.

Big Sean - Control (Feat. Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica)

Big Sean - 100 (Feat. Kendrick Lamar & Royce Da 5’9)

Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar - Holy Key

I feel bad for Sean because Kendrick has consistently killed him throughout the history of their collabs. But then again Sean has done the same thing to Wiz Khalifa and much more decisively I might add.

Do a few searches on the internet, you’ll see a lot of people were confused about various things in TFA.

That’s true but there are very few things in there can’t be explained or inferred and the rest are too important not to be brought up in VIII. Adam Driver recently said that there will be things in VIII that will make both movies make sense so I think a lot of your concerns/confusion will be alleviated.

As I’ve said before, if everything is cleared up in later films, then no problem. But a lot of people were saying “how R2 got the map is irrelevant.” If it’s never explained, then I think it’s an issue. I watched the movie three times, and I never once got the slightest hint that R2 had the map because he plugged into the Death Star’s computer, or that R2 woke up because of BB-8 asking him about the map.

I’ll admit I hate the in universe explanation but it’s still an explanation. If anything the burning question is why is Lor San Tekka on Jakku of all places? If Luke didn’t put Rey on Jakku things are going to get really convoluted.

On somewhat of a sidenote, I’m glad that you’re one of the few willing to wait before rendering complete judgement.

And honestly, it does seem weird to me that the Empire had a map to the original Jedi temple, and the New Republic never added this map to their records in 33 years of access to Imperial computers. But whatever…

So The New Republic had access to EVERY terminal/server/mainframe the Empire had? If not then it makes since as to why they didn’t as it would be luck of the draw due to the possibility those same terminals, servers or mainframes could have either been destroyed or fell into the hands of a remnant of The Empire which could or could not have turned into The First Order.

The exchange between the two is amazing and I would have loved to see Krennic try to bring Galen to his side of thinking in a couple of flashback scenes. This also could have given the film more time to develop Galen as a character so that his death would be more impactful.

Definitely recommend Catalyst, Krennic is the best part of the book.

Funny you should say that as I was planning to pick it up in the next 3 weeks. Knowing that Galen purposefully crafted a weakness in the Death Star makes the premise of the novel 100 times more enticing to me. Also knowing exactly what he felt whilst keeping up his facade should be interesting as well.

What was the first thing in R1 you liked?

The first frame of the actual film. It just sucks you in almost as well as the opening shot of STAR WARS did.

Heck, the film starts without the familiar crawl, rousing operatic music or awesome starship… I was still sceptical during those first minutes.

…but then:

Krennic: We were this close to providing peace, security for the galaxy.
Galen: You’re confusing peace with terror.
Krennic: You have to start somewhere…

I thought “if they keep giving us such memorable lines, maybe this film won’t be bad?”.

Think about it. This exchange could be about most of our real-world revolutions etc. “Oh, we do it for the people …and peace… but first we need to put those guillotines to use!”.

R1 has better political talks than anything from the Prequels. (And Prequels had to have some political talks, because they were to show us how a republic transformed into an empire.)

The exchange between the two is amazing and I would have loved to see Krennic try to bring Galen to his side of thinking in a couple of flashback scenes. This also could have given the film more time to develop Galen as a character so that his death would be more impactful.

It depends: is R1 the prequel to ANH… or the sequel to ROTS ?

R1 is the prequel to ANH, because ROTS is not suppose to be watched at all.

First thing you’ve said I’ve agreed with…probably because it didn’t include some variant of “I’m the truth.”

I am one with the truth and the truth is with me.

If the first KOTOR ever got made into a movie, it would get criticized for being too much like A New Hope & Empire Strikes Back.

It…probably would. If you thought the naysayers exaggerated what a similarities are in regards to TFA that would be nothing in comparison to what they would do to a KOTOR movie. They would probably resort to saying that because there are lightsabers and blasters in the movie that it’s the exact same as SW.

If the second KOTOR got made into a movie, it would get criticized for not being Star Wars-y enough and boring.

KOTOR II wasn’t boring at all in my opinion. I think people would be invested in the mystery of what happened to the exile after what happened at Malachor V, the greyness that surrounds a large portion of the story and characters like Kreia and Visas would be fan favorites.

I could see people saying Nihilus is a better villain than Director Krennic or Kylo Ren even though he has no personality and barely does anything in the goddamn game.
