By the way, I don’t care about any of this. I like a few Metallica songs but I don’t care how anyone wants to classify them. If someone is singing and I can’t understand a word, I don’t want to listen to it. If the drummer is drumming so fast that I can’t tell if he’s playing the drums or a jackhammer, I don’t want to listen to it.

Not a day in my fucking life have I ever heard someone call Kreator speed metal. I’ve heard them called proto-Death along with Slayer (because Kreator stole Slayer’s sound) but Speed? Lol

People are really weird from their genres. Some say Venom created Thrash and some even say Megadeth’s first album was the first true Thrash album. Fuck if I know at this point.

Eh. I prefer of a Call of Ktulu, Orion, Creeping Death and Battery over Master of Puppets. I will say however that Master of Puppets is better than For Whom The Bell Tolls.

I wouldn’t go that far but I’ve heard many similar riffs but similar and identical riffs are very different in my mind. Plus it’s bad enough that Kreator (once) and Bathory (a couple of times) stole riffs from Slayer as well. And I was even more furious when I found out Slayer had stolen a riff from Metal Church so much so that I’ll never listen to “Expendable Youth” again.

I’ll never listen to Master of Puppets again because they stole a riff from Slayer on that song. The part in towards the middle is kind of beautiful though but I’m not an overall fan of the song .

Anyway, what they all have in common is that I can’t hear any of the lyrics when they “sing.” They might as well be using dog whistles, if dog whistles created annoying growls and grunts. And spare me the old man jokes, I’ve thought this since before you were born.

FWIW, I rather enjoy many heavy metal interpretations of video game songs. Armcannon is my favorite of these such bands.

Thrash isn’t like 2nd Wave/Modern Black Metal where a lot of it is Darkthrone worship.

I’ve listened to some Metallica and it’s ok but nothing I’d want to listen to very much.

I don’t even listen to Metallica anymore but that’s beside the point.

It seems the show is back on track and there’s so many great storylines they’re setting up that I can’t wait to see what they do with them. But the only thing I want is for Sansa, Theon or Jon to kill Ramsay. I almost don’t even care about anything else at this juncture.

What a joke this band must be.

Can’t necessarily disagree on this front. They take the whole gore thing that was in Thrash Metal way too far. They have some catchy songs though but they’re not on the level of Death, Deicide, Obituary and definitely not Morbid Angel.

Mercyful Fate plays Heavy Metal. Death Metal didn’t even exist in the early 80’s.

Because she passionately hates her life choices. She hates what she’s done in the past. And she hates who she is now. She wants her death to be violent so it’ll make up for her violent wants. It’s a tough thing to read a friend pour out. I mean it’s dark as fuck.

This is definitely fixable seeing as how she can make different life choices and she certainly can change who is. A radio host who goes by the name Charlamagne Tha God says every now and again that “Malcolm X used to be Malcolm Little” so it is more than possible to go through a metamorphosis in life especially if this person is young. She might need to cut off her friends or find a new job/switch majors etc. but having an image in her mind of who she wants to be and making strides towards it not only in her choices but her mind/thought pattern is vastly important. Now the violent part leaves no doubt as to the fact that you need to call the authorities because the whole “She wants her death to be violent so it’ll make up for her violent wants” thing sounds like another problem she may need to work out. Also who would want to stumble up someone who viciously killed her/himself

Well if you do (and hopefully you do) call the proper authorities they can track her down unless she uses like 10 VPN’s or something.

That’s why I said I endorse calling the proper authorities as you said. Even if the person resents Trident for the time being he still can save her and everything she will eventually become.

I you think that she is a danger to herself (or others) then you should call the proper authorities.

As someone who has gone through the same thing and had someone call the authorities on me I endorse this course of action. There’s quite a few things I’ve experienced that I wouldn’t have had I done something as drastic as suicide.
