Final Assault on Starkiller Base - The Phanton Menace Music (MUSIC ONLY)

I think you uploaded this clip already but that doesn’t matter because the shit is perfect. Can’t wait to see this with the sound effects added 😄

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x48pjme_first-5-minutes-of-tfa-edit_fun
First 5 Minutes of the edit - Mixed Music (See if you can spot which tracks I used)

This one however is hit and miss for me.

1:53 - 2:12 is perfect

2:13 - 2:30 is pretty good to but the slow build in Attack on The Jakku Village is more effective imo and it makes the shot of the Storm Troopers with the frenetic music more impactful.

2:31 - 2:58 feels totally out of place and conflicts with the tone of the scene itself and the original music that went along with it. The music isn’t bad but I think it would be effective to use it elsewhere in the film.

2:59 - 3:53 is great

I think 3:54 - 4:15 should be start when he just begins running.

4:17 - 4:28 feels a bit off tone wise but works

4:28 - 4:29 is perfect

4:41 - 4:50 feels off both in tone and music. It just doesn’t fit at all to me

4:51 - 5:03 is pretty good

5:09 - 5:18 doesn’t quite capture the tyranny of the events going on screen

5:19 - 5:40 is near perfect

the music from there on fits in pretty well too.

I will have more preview clips coming later today!

Looking forward to it.

I don’t mind if you like Finn, you’re entitled to your opinion.
I’d rebuttal you but neither of us will convince the other anyway so whatever 😛

Probably but I think we can both agree that there is room for the character to grow 😉

Oh definitely, it’s actually one of the reasons I’m looking forward to Episode 8 the most; I’d like to see Poe and Finn grow into something more substantial.
Poe especially, I quite enjoyed what little we got of him.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how Finn is going to deal with his injuries and falling into being with a new organization after a lifetime of servitude to the First Order. And I’m definitely looking forward to Poe becoming a full fledged character and I want to see that bond he and Finn share grow.

Saying that is like saying Obama and Birdman act and talk the same which is unacceptable.

I don’t see how that analogy remotely relates.

Does Obama or Finn act or speak anything like this man?

Sorry, I thought you meant the film “Birdman” and was extremely confused.

I think Finn is pretty annoying and doesn’t really have a character larger than one dimensional, but the weird oddly specific stereotype generalization you mentioned definitely doesn’t fit and definitely borders on racist.
I’d probably just go with “less crap Jar Jar Binks,” though it certainly has nothing to do with him being black, I just think the character’s annoying.

He’s nothing like Jar-Jar Binks. There’s a difference between someone who’s a bit immature and a spaz and a bumbling moron. As for the one dimensional thing I don’t think one dimensional characters who have clear aspirations, a defined set or morality and go through stages of emotions etc. can be considered as one dimensional but I digress. And you finding him annoying doesn’t mean you’re racist in the slightest so don’t worry about that 😉

South of Heaven is the last good Slayer album anyway.

I disagree. Seasons In The Abyss had Self Titled, War Ensemble, Blood Red, Dead Skin Mask, Hallowed Point all of which were great - amazing in terms of quality.

Reign in blood isn’t that good of an album either. I mean it has 3 or 4 AMAZING songs (Angel of Death, Raining Blood, Altar of Sacrifice) but as an album overall it’s quite boring and repetitive in my opinion.

I definitely think it’s overrated but Necrophobic, Criminally Insane, Reborn and Postmortem easily stand on their own and I’d put Necrophobic and Postmortem > Altar of Sacrifice any day of the week. The only song I really didn’t like all that much was Piece By Piece but even that song as a riff or two that I like.

Hell Awaits… Now THAT’S an album.

Agreed. Masterpiece through and through and without it Death Metal wouldn’t exist.

Oh wait, Frink doesn’t like it so it’s all garbage.

He hasn’t listened to it or anything similar. I’m sure he hates Maiden too.

I honestly can’t understand why a riff being lifted from something else would have any impact on your listening to a song. Especially if you really like this song, why would you just stop listening to it simply because they didn’t necessarily write the whole thing

Well in the case of “Expendable Youth” it’s pretty much the main (and best) riff in the song so there’s not much point in listening to it if when before I found out the riff was stolen I listened to that song pretty much only for that riff.

I still happily watch Ghostbusters and enjoy the catchy theme, even though the riff is lifted off of “I Want A New Drug”

Well movies and songs are apples and oranges. There’s still more for the film to offer even the original soundtrack isn’t wholly original.

I’m also curious what your opinion of covers is now.

I don’t have a problem with covers because it’s paying homage in the most overt way and most people do it for fun and not for profit.
