Info for... the Ewok films: 'Battle For Endor' and 'Caravan Of Courage'...

"Ewoks and the Marauders of Endor"? What on earth is that?

Well, apparently there are 3 versions of that too. I know nothing about this. I thought it was only a TV movie.

Well, we don't know if the possible theatrical version is any different from the TV movie. That title could be only for the poster. Where is it from, the UK?

I have the MGM 1990 VHS, Not Rated, version of "the Ewok adventure". 1 hour & 36 minute run time if it helps anyone with this.

Could be great to have on DVD :-)

What I have is fullscreen but I'm watching it right now and it's pretty clean for it's age. It also has a film look, natural colors....I could fire up my DVDrecorder and make a disc. My upload speed sucks so I'd be willing to send someone a copy for upload, tweaks, what not....

They're all fullscreen. Would be interesting to know if they actually have widescreen masters for them.

Info Wanted: What Is The Best Unaltered Star Wars Trilogy PAL DVD project?

Me and DJ are also working on a new version for blu-ray where we've upscaled the 2006 bonus DVDs, improved the colors and cleaned up film dirt and glue. It'll most likely take us a long time to finish this project though.

Will you be fixing those weird color moments from the GOUT, like lasers, Vader's lights, Luke's garage etc.? Didn't know you were fixing up dirt and glue.

Preserving "French" Original Trilogy - ANH V1.0 released - ESB in progress

Would be cool to get all different intros and credits from different countries along with the soundtracks and make an ultimate version where you can choose which version to watch. I'm not into making these from scratch so I could live with the original video spliced into ie. DJ's versions or something. But good luck with your project!

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

Just bought a new imported Swedish SW box of ice cream sticks. It features ROTS Vader on the box but otherwise there's nothing PT or TCW related so had to buy one box for a tasting.

It's been over 12 years since I've eaten SW ice cream, last time was TPM ice cream and I ate many of those even though they weren't that great, LOL. When they interviewed the guy first in line for TPM at Chinese Theater in L.A., he told that someone here scanned the wrapper for him as they didn't have them in the US, which was pretty cool in 1999. I still have that on tape. :)

What's the story of the Hildebrandt poster?

I've never liked the Hildebrandt poster, I think it's just ugly...

I agree in regards to Leia's face, but the rest's okay.

I think Luke is even worse. All the characters look bad, the background is okayish to me.

I wish more-and-more that Leia had worn that leggy dress in the film =P

Agreed. Leia could have used a little more sexiness in the first film.

RoboCop was one of the coolest things in 90s when growing up, I remember the NES game and all, good times.

90s? You're older than you think.

The film was released 1987, the arcade game 1988 and the Spectrum version in 1989.

Well, yeah, but we still played the games and it was a cool character in the early 90s. I was born in 1987 so I'm not THAT old. I also had a large RoboCop knock-off figure, otherwise I wasn't that into it and hadn't seen the movie but it reminds me of kindergarten times, LOL.

So, you didn't witness the cultural shock this film's issue was... ;)

... And that BLOWING THX mix in theatres...!

I've never heard something that good these last 20 years. And we call that "progress" !

Yes, I have missed all my favorite films in the theatre, that is sad. I envy those who have seen all those films which are now considered almost classics. I wish I had experiences like that. But hey, at least I'm younger! ;)

Jeez guys, learn to spell Kershner's name right. He directed The Empire Strikes Back for crying out loud! LOL

RoboCop 2 sucked and Kershner directed it so if the story is true, I'd believe her. I agree about the elements she was talking about and RoboCop really took a bad turn there but then again, I don't know what direction would be the best. I think TESB was a great collaborative effort from everyone which made it so great. Kershner may have been a good director in it but having seen Never Say Never Again and RoboCop 2 I wouldn't say he's that great.

They showed the RoboCop trilogy here for the first time in over 10 years on TV here recently. I've seen the first film once or twice and I love it. RoboCop was one of the coolest things in 90s when growing up, I remember the NES game and all, good times.
