HI-Res Poster Art

Fact is he wasn’t doing anything wrong. Get over yourself and move on. There’s no need to obsess over some damn images somebody posted and act like an ass.

LOL, you’re the one dragging this one, get off your high horse and stop defending a troll. I hadn’t said anything about you but that could change if you continue, not sure what is your point talking shit here as it doesn’t even concern about poster art, you just want to stirr the pot. PM me your name-calling, otherwise post some quality images here.

If you don’t like them you don’t have to use them. No need to be an ass when the guy was just making an effort to give to the community. Constructive criticism is one thing, being an ass is another thing. Instead of complaining, why not thank him for his effort and then mention how some of the shop work is a little obvious and should be cleaned up?

You should do some quality control before posting 50 huge images of crap. Feel free to thank him, please see all his other posts, they’re the same quality as his images.

Ranking the Superman films
Time

Superman II 6/10
Superman The Movie 5/10
Superman Returns 2/10
Man of Steel 0/10
Superman III haven’t seen
Superman IV haven’t seen

In all honesty, I’ve seen the first two only once and I don’t remember them that well. Not that I’ve seen the others more, Returns twice or three times, MoS once. Lois & Clark and Smallville are better than any of these (although they have their problems too).

Was TFA called Episode VII?

The title is offically the long version, with “Episode VII” in it (this is the actual title used in the movie).

It is as offical as Star Wars is Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. It is registered as Star Wars: The Force Awakens at least in our national film registry purely as that. I’ve yet to see a film that doesn’t have its official name spelled at right at its official poster. Feel free to compare TFA to PT posters.

Great thread! I don’t have any vector graphics, but if I’d give you the logos, would you be able to do/convert them? I know all of them aren’t high res…

At least we could try… It depends on how complicated the Logos are and how Big the Images…
Could you give me some Samples?

I’ll PM you when I have the time, now it’s a little busy. 😃 Thanks!

At the bottom of the poster in the writing where all actors/producers are credited, the title is labeled “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. I tend to think of that as making it official. Even on the 2000 VHS set of the SEs that had episode numbers in giant font on the boxes had the films credited as being titled Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi in the credits at the bottom of the case.

I agree.

Crawl has Episode VII in it. The name of the movie just is Star Wars: The Force Awakens, just like TESB had Episode V in the crawl but the name of the movie was just The Empire Strikes Back.

TFA was the first SW movie not to be translated here, so it was just SW: TFA. Even the crawl didn’t have subtitles for Episode VII - The Force Awakens. As a fan, I don’t like this one breaking the mold.

team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)
Time

I’m halfway through watching this and I’ll share my comments:

I agree with others about the intro, I’d suggest removing it as it makes easier for us to add tracks to the film. Also as your objective was to make it looks as original as it could, that takes a little away from it. Of course you guys deserve all the credit and we all love you for doing this, not diminishing any of it!

About the missing frames, I would try to add the missing frames from other sources, even GOUT if comes to that. Again, it would help all of us and then this would be a fully complete version.

Looking forward for the original audio!

The light bleeding or whatever it’s called is pretty bad in all scenes where there is direct light. Is it still fixable for the BD at this point?

As others have said, this is a truly awesome effort and I cannot thank you enough for doing this. This is and will be my go to version from now on. Thanks for everything and looking forward for the BD and your other releases.
