I googled this thread so didn’t notice it was in the preservation forum, maybe the general forum would be a better fit? Or at least that was the place I thought I was asking for comments. 😃

Anyone here got stories to tell about these? SW (ANH…) is coming to my contry this year and I just bought VIP tickets for it. Probably a once in a lifetime experience. And I’m not just talking about seeing the BD version. 😛

A third idea is to do the 4 with the extended horizontal stroke on the back side. This would visually balance the left side with the right a little more, as the 7s create larger gaps along the baseline

Those are based on the official SW font Astro. Unless someone is willing to send me the actual font, that is as close as you can get trying to match the font. Luckily the 7s were the easiest one to produce, unlike 80 or 83…

I’ll have to check the spaces.

Also Republic Commando is suprisingly good when I played it 15 years ago. Even though I hate the clones and Geonosians and the like but it really was one of the best SW action games. I haven’t played it again…

So, the new Avengers pretty much destroyed all TFA’s records, boooo. It’ll be interesting to see how it compares to TFA in the long run.

Have you actually seen the movie? Death Star is mentioned like 30 times and probably half of it is from Ackbar’s speech where he repeats it even in the same sentences.

Just saw Ready Player One. I really enjoyed it. A tad too long like they always are these days, but still. At the same time I would’ve loved to see more casual stuff and having fun at the Oasis before shit went serious. It peaked at the dance scene for me, that was awesome.

I agree with others, blue push is a little too aggressive.

And I have to say, that first shot looks so green screen… When I watched the final “duel” for the second time, them standing on the desert looked so fake I couldn’t believe. There was no feel of vastness or space at all.

Of course, I could make a “plain” version, simply UAR, no added crawl, no color correction etc. - even if I think it will be a bit boring… 😄

I’d be interested in that, if it also includes the original audio. Maybe it’s my mistake, but I thought this was preserving all the image possible, but it seems this may be more of a fan edit.

Is it correction or just manipulation? That is, I have not heard that they changed the colors for the BD.

I’m looking forward to the untouched UAR release anyways.
