I’d be happy to donate if someone else will do the bidding.
I’d be happy to donate if someone else will do the bidding.
I will gladly donate to this project! Where can I?
Again, shameless bump!
Donated! This project, as well as the Phantom Menace film scan, has my great interest! It’d be great to get a preview.
I say go for it! I’m all for preserving whatever expanded aspect ratio footage of this movie we can get, since Disney has made it clear they aren’t prioritizing releasing the proper AR for a film shot specifically for the format.
Can’t wait for this to be released!
I would love a link to this!
I absolutely am going to want your color grading of 4K77. Great work!!
I would love to Quality check your recreation!
would love to see this project happen!
Anyone still up for this project??
Can someone please send me the sequence in that 1.78:1 ratio? I’ve been looking for it everywhere.
PM sent!
Would you mind sending that to me too?
I would love a link too, please!
Man, what I would give for that press kit replica. Amazing work!!!
As far as I can remember, they are based on the 2011 Blu Ray cuts.
This guy has gone way too far https://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-Despecialized-Original-Trilogy-Blu-ray-Box-Set-Documentaries/263279694188?hash=item3d4cb1516c:g:2S0AAOSwJJVZuCH0
I just saw in his description on that ebay listing that he is selling them on etsy, but I haven’t found the page or any Star Wars Blu Rays. Maybe he gave up?
I would love to get a PM or other directions to finding this. Great work!😃
Another big-arse 16bit TIFF

I am waaaay too excited to see this thing get scanned. would love as many updates as possible 😛
The print has arrived, I’ll take some pictures tonight.
I seriously Can’t wait!!!
I’d love to help however I can!
Just donated! I’ll be moving my project to a fan-edit instead of a restoration. Good luck with this!! Expect more donations from me:)
I saw a 35mm copy of this film at FLorida State University’s Student Life Center last night, and it got me very interested in this project! any updates?
The day has finally come.
I found the file on a torrent website. I think you can find it easily. In the title it says IMAX version.
I would like a link too, please!
May I ask if anyone has Adywan’s reconstruction or the original capture? If someone has them, could you please send them to me?
I would love this as well.
As far as I know, the sources that exist for TPM are as follows:
-Japanese Laserdisc
-Official DVD
-schorman’s HDTV preservation
-Official Blu-ray
-Theatrical DTS CD-ROM
Is there anything else that could be used to create a BD ISO for the theatrical cut of The Phantom Menace?
There is also:
- Z bootleg
- theatrical VHS
- theatrical VCD
- Adywan’s reconstruction
- theatrical ORF Ein PAL broadcast
- theatrical ORF Ein HDTV broadcast (was recorded by at least 2 people but not shared nor uploaded)
- lot of HDTV captures in several languages (Spanish, German, French, Russian, Polish, …)
- some HD bonuses featuring theatrical scenes not available elsewhere (palpatine’s office, full theatrical podrace)
I’m currently working on a HD theatrical reconstruction, since it seems that previous projects were abandoned. The entire process takes time but is already well advanced and I’ll post news here as soon as possible.
Would anyone happen to have the Digital HD bonus features to share? Someone was kind enough to give me the Theatrical Podrace, and I 'd like to see if any other shots could be found in those bonus features.
Very much needed the total cost to me will be in the arena of five grand, so every bit anyone can chip in certainly helps.
I would love to contribute a little each month to a scan! What’s the best way to do that?
