Here's one I heard awhile ago:

A man gets pulled over for speeding, and when the cop comes to his car he begins begging the cop not to write him the ticket and let him off with a warning.
The cop smiles and says, "Alright, I'll give you a test. If you get a question right, I'll let you off. Here's the question: you see two lights coming down the road. What is it?"
The man responds, "It's a car!"
"Yeah, I know, but is it a Honda, a Ford, or an Audi?"
"I don't know... Give me another chance, please?"
"Alright. You see one light coming down the road, what is it?"
"A motorcycle."
"Yeah, but is it a Suzuki, a BMW, or a Harley?"
"I don't know..."
"Then I have no choice..."
The cop starts to write the ticket, and the man stares for a moment, thinking, then turns to the cop and asks him, "Hey, I got a question for you. You see a girl walking down the side of the road wearing a mini-skirt, a low-cut shirt, and a ton of makeup, who is it?"
The cop responds, "A prostitute."
"Yeah, I know, but is it your wife, your sister, or your daughter?"

Dayv, judging by your Steamboy review, you seem to be somewhat excited about Advent Children... By any chance...
1. Are you going to get a copy early, and
2. Do you know if there are any plans for a US limited edition to be released? Right now in Japan they have a set that comes with:
-The movie
-Cloud and Fenrir statue
-FFVII International
-A shirt, keychain, and hat
-An exclusive DVD with an animated OVA, among other things.

Basically, I want to know if I should import it or wait for something similar in the US.

Just noticed this thread... Too bad the book isn't fresh in my mind anymore.

Warning: Scattered thoughts ahead...

Anyhow... Harry being a Horcrux was one of my first thoughts too, followed closely by Gryffindor's sword. I also thought that it may have become one in the Chamber of Secrets. The question is, did Tom Riddle's book transfer the Horcrux, so to speak, or was it somehow holding part of a soul to put in another Horcrux?

I, for one, was really hoping to have Fawkes come and just kind of perch on Harry's shoulder or something. I'm not quite sure why, it would have just been a nice touch to have Fawkes there as a kind of extension of Dumbledore. Also, maybe if Fawkes hangs around with Harry in the next book, somehow Fawkes could break the whole effect of the brother wands to help Harry kill Voldemort.

I'm still working with the whole Snape being good thing. I think Snape was actually looking into Dumbledore's mind during that pause in the tower, and Dumbledore's begging was him trying to get Snape to do just that, so that he would know what to do. I'm not quite sure what benefit Dumbledore's death would be at the moment, but I'm sure there is one. Also, Snape kind of protected Harry as he was escaping by saying that he was "the Dark Lord's".

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Hogwarts as a Horcrux WOULD be a great idea, nice one Shim.

I agree with that statement. Volume II looks good, but I does bug me a bit. I think if you kept the Clone Wars logo like you had it before and moved the Star Wars logo to the bottom and maybe a tad smaller it wouldn't look so busy. Nice work though, I like how it's coming along.

I agree too... That space bugged the heck out of me...
I can't really find an alternate poster though, so maybe I'll make the background extend upwards more or something.
I tried the Clone Wars logo on top with the SW logo on the bottom, but it just didn't look right, so I put SW on top.
I'll try to put together an example of the spine in a bit.

Thanks for the feedback (I'll release them when they're "finalized" sybeman, thanks for the compliments though!).

Is the X9 considered to be better than the X0? I did some reading on it and all I found up is that the X9 is newer and has some supa-dupa comb filter.
I live in IL, so chances are is that if he isn't too far away, I could aid in the capturing process. I have a decent capture card, and if would indeed make a really good transfer, I'd be more than willing to drop a bit of money on a better card.
