Finally, my first preview is uploaded! I wanted to put it on vimeo, but the clip needs to be below 500MBs before I have to start paying them...

I warn you, it's not the most perfect editing and this will only be for my rough cut to see how the movie can flow together.

Wow, what a coincidence! I think I'm more motivated to do this now I know people are actually into the idea...

I'm trying to upload my intro video on YouTube to prove I can actually edit but uploading videos slows my internet down to a screeching halt. Soo that will come soon, but I do not know when; my apologies.

P.S. There will be more progress in the summer since not failing my exams is a priority over Star Wars unfortunately...

I was planning to have the romance montage earlier in the film, but moving it to the before Anakin rushes to Palpatine will be more effective. We can have the scene where Anakin and Padme look into the distance. Then the montage can begin of Anakin and Padme being romantic from Episode II. Anakin then rushes to save Palpatine. We don't see Mace and the jedi confronting Palpy at all. Anakin enters to Mace ready to strike. Anakin cuts Maces hand off. Mace is gone with the Windu.. I think that sounds like a plan :)

I will test that out soon and upload that with the introduction I have finished. It's a bit rough but I'm only working on the draft so it won't be perfect.

After years of contemplation and hundreds of Anakin-like nightmares, I have decided on a way I can edit the prequels into a fashion that I and other fan's will be happy with.

Star Wars: The Sith Reborn will be a 90 minute cut of Revenge of the Sith designed to be the beginning of the Star Wars Saga, I decided to do this because, the other 2 movies are bloated with filler which no matter how edited it is, does NOT feel like or need to be included into the mythology of Star Wars

I played around with a 3-in-1 edit, but trying to combine 3 movies with completely different stories, appearances and style is near impossible and is very disorientating for the viewer.  Revenge of the Sith can match the Original Trilogy in tone, pacing and story if edited right.

Major Changes:

. A new crawl will be added, discussing the Clone Wars and the Jedi's alliance with the Republic.

. This movie will be colour-corrected in order to make it look like a movie made in the mid 70's.

. Footage from Attack of the Clones will be used for a couple of flashbacks, one focused on Anakin's relationship with Padme before the war and another on his mother's death on Tantooine. These scenes will take us away from Coruscant for a while whilst the film gives us a good insight on Anakin's life. 

. Any obvious references to Episode I & II are cut. E.g. the mentioning of Qui-Gon is cut, this can now make Obi Wan, Yoda's former apprentice. Count Dooku will also be cut from the one scene he is in in this movie.

. Padme will survive beyond The Clone Wars, the twins will also remain anonymous in these films since I cringe every time i hear their names declared by Padme.

. Vader and Anakin will seem like separate people in this edit because this makes Anakin's transformation less degrading and can work with the idea in the OT that Anakin no longer was himself when he turned to the Darkside.

. Sidious' one apperance is cut. Palpatine's only alter ego is The Emperor and he fully transforms into him when he reveals himself to Anakin and Mace Windu.

.Mace's saber is green, it only appears once and that is when it is held to Palpy's throat. Yes, Palpatine vs the Jedi is cut, this will display Palpatine as a victim of an attack by Mace Windu and show that Mace's intentions of personally killing Palpatine our clear.

. The movie will be thoroughly rearranged and cut to maintain a quick pacing and to not bore the viewer with depressing political drama.

They would make the prequels that George originally envisioned in 1999

I am currently in the planning process of a Star Wars Prequel Fan Edit/s however when I plan an idea I am never satisfied with what I want to do with the Prequels.

I am planning to make a version of the prequels which captures that feeling from the Original Trilogy and also something similar to what we saw from The Force Awakens teaser :D

This is why I would like to ask if anyone has any suggestions for edit ideas that I could try out.

I have already considered:

. An standalone edit of Revenge of the Sith

. A combination of ROTS and AOTC

. 2 edits: The first will be of TPM and AOTC, the second will be of ROTS

But at the moment I'm stuck in the planning stage and some help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think the easiest way to do things is to remove Kamino from the story and not make Boba the model for the clones. Whether Kamino will be in the prequels at all, I don't know.

This would however make Boba in the OT substantially older and the green armour could help him blend in better with his environment? I don't know, what do you think?

Young Boba will be cut completely. The only good thing about Young Boba was the last shot in the arena with him holding the helmet...

Jango Fett is now just called Boba.. or Fett and his role is exactly the same, but he just doesn't die on Geonosis.

I’ve changed my plans, I may revisit a 3 in 1 edit eventually but at the moment I’m going to work on a VERY short trilogy of edits for the prequels and give them the feeling of Clone Wars story arcs.

Each movie will be about 1hr 15mins each and will cut back on alot of unnecessary stuff.

Episode I: In this edit it will remove Anakin (since he’s a 16 year old in Corusant being trained as a jedi). It will also remove Jar Jar… For obvious reasons. Alderaan (Naboo) is being invaded by the Federation led by Count Dooku and Obi Wan and Qui Gonn go to help the people of Alderaan. Meanwhile Chancellor Palpatine gets emergency powers and uses it to build an army.

Episode II: 5 years later… Obi Wan gets sent to Kamino to observe the new clone army that was ordered, however Obi Wan finds out that Boba Fett (Jango) is the model for the army and follows him to Geonosis (Or maybe Tantooine) where he descovers the Dooku is rebuilding the Federation ready for war. Meanwhile Anakin is assigned to protect her long time friend Padme on Alderaan and they form a romantic relationship. The rest of the movie plays out how it is but Anakin isn’t Obi Wan’s apprentice yet.

Episode III: 3 years later… The war is on a whole new scale, Count Dooku has captured Chancellor Palpatine and Obi Wan and Anakin are sent to rescue him, Anakin kills Dooku etc. Afterwards we see that Anakin and Padme are closer and she is pregnant with Anakin’s child. Throughout the movie we see Anakin slowly turn as he is becoming arrogant and jealous of the other jedi. Whilst being poked by Palptine to release his hidden aggression. The rest of the movie plays outs

I haven't thought about doing any transitions yet :/

At the moment I've been working on the order of scenes and stuff like that. However I will start working on them at a later date. Although I have some decent ideas for transitions from AOTC to ROTS. For example we see the last scene of AOTC then we fade straight into a nightmare Anakin is having then we see him wake up and the audience can presume that we have gone forward in time.

Yeah, I'm still in the early stages of the edit since I am quite lazy and I am still learning how to use the software I've got. But I'll get there one day :)

Hi, I’ve been wanting to do a fan edit for a long time and I’ve finally got the chance to do that. My edit to basically be a prologue to the OT or the first in a 4 part trilogy (If that makes any sense). I want it share the feeling of the OT but can stand alone as a single movie.

The first 30 minutes will be a highly condensed combination of TPM and AOTC to pretty much set up the Clone Wars and a few character origins. This edit will remove allot of characters as well like C-3PO, Jango Fett, Chewbacca an Jabba the Hutt. Count Dooku will take center stage as the main villan for this episode only as a shelf holder for Anakin.

TPM- This part will only be a very short version of the battle of Naboo, Yoda talking to Obi Wan and the funeral scene

AOTC- This has been heavily rearranged so it is just Obi Wan tracking down Dooku and being rescued by the new Clone army after being captured, Anakin takes the backseat in this part and just builds a relationship with Padme

ROTS- the beginning of ROTS will be readjusted to make it link to the end of AOTC but the content of the episode wont change that much. Padme is in the early stages of pregnancy in ROTS and gives birth after the Rise of Vader (meaning she survives after what happens on Mustafar)

I’m still debating on how ROTS should end but some opinions would be appreciated. I never know, this edit could fail or take longer than usual due to my lacking of editing skills but I hope everything goes well.
