Would people be interested in updates for the mini-series?
Again, I’m doing little editng because I’m not interested in convo/scene cutting etc. but I can show how I’m apporaching the intros and the transitions between episodes.
The asthetics of an edit are very important in my opinion 😉

The whole idea is slightly genius, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi feel so different that they can be used as 2 contrasting halves to one story. I assume Kylo killing Snoke will be used as the decisive end to The First Orders reign? If so that makes sense from a narrative perspective.
As much as I enjoy the meme-worthy revival of Palpatine, it just feels waaay to over board; even for Star Wars.
Have you considered picking up where Smudger left off? At least a couple of his moviefied serials were about as good as anyone could get them, I reckon.
That’s understandable. But I would prefer to do this project from scratch. I know it’s a shame he never finished his series of edits.
Also a side note. All the arcs in the mini-series will be in chronological order. So it shall play quite smoothy 😉
Ok so from what I’ve gathered, there people who:
o Want to see a good amount of Clone Wars as an isolated mini-series
o Want only the essential arcs with the ‘4 corner’ characters
o Want the full cinematic treatment to marathon with the movies
I feel I can find a way around this with 3 different releases.
o OPTION 1
o 6-8 of those arcs released in a separate package for the real essential viewing
o (The hardest one) a full trilogy of 2 hours edits- Episode I telling Ashokas story, Episode II telling Maul’s story and Episode III being the shows finale story leading up to ROTS
The third solution would be done last as this takes the most time and would need more planning.
How does that sound?

I don’t see why not 😄 the editing in the intros are a little bit rough in my opinion.

of course. that makes a bunch of sense. Some of the arcs I’m going to work on are based on my preference (Malevolence, Geonosis, Umbara, Mortis, The Unknown, Sacrifice). I can imagine my edits won’t use the episode format but will be numbered outside of the edit, so the complete viewing order is clear.
This plan will work for both OPTION 1 and OPTION 2. Although I’m currently leaning more over to OPTION 1.
Those ideas are actually really cool. I wasn’t planning on doing too much arc mashing but I could be swayed otherwise.
I think your idea of having prequel live action woven with the Clone Wars animation could be a thing throughout all of your edits. Heck, you could even create and alternate, prequel trilogy with that concept!
One episode could focus on Anakin and Ashoka, which could use footage from TPM and AOTC
One episode could be a Maul episode, with duel of fates to open as a flashback
One episode to wrap it all up. Using the best moments of ROTS to close the whole thing off
Just relaying some ideas to help you out. I reckon some storyboarding would be in order 😃

STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS: ARC EDITS
I am currently working on a collection of 1-2 hour edits to form a new mini-series of The Clone Wars. This is for people who want to enjoy the best arcs the show has to offer.
Editing will be minimal- basically blending the episodes within an arc to form a shortfilm
Each episode will get a new opening, featuring a Solo-like text crawl.
There will be 16 episodes in the full mini-series.
The episodes with a ‘*’ will be included in the ‘Essential 8’ package for the folks who want an even more condensed viewing of the show.

I personally think the idea of a trilogy of standalones would work really well (Revenge of the Sith, Solo and Rogue One). The only thing that will have to change is the appearances of the villans for simplicity sake. For example: Dooku can be cut all together in ROTS and Grievous can have his lightsaber scenes cut; leaving Sidious as the main villan in the movie. Also if Maul is not featured anywhere else in the trilogy his cameo can be cut.
Of course the main problem is Solo will end up being the outlier film with very little connection to the main Star Wars arc…
I’m down for if it’s possible. What you planning to do with them?
Very tempted to make an edit where this replaces Revenge of the Sith as the new Episode III. Following standalone films which fit the mold can be used to make Episode I and II but this definitely feels more like a saga movie when you think about it.
My edit would have:
. A new title
. An added crawl
. Removal of the planet titles
. Minor editing on the opening act since it was quite messy
. Also any small nitpicks I find when watching back again
I hope I don’t CHOKE in my aspirations 😉

I think this edit would be quite good to iron out the few kinks the movies had. I think also cutting out a few A New Hope references would be great aswell; I cringed at stuff the Kessel run in 14 parsecs line. But yes, the gaint CGI ball scene dserves a good trimming. Also, maybe another name for this edit would prevent it from sounding like an A New Hope reboot. Maybe “The Rising Threat” or “The Threat Awakens”… im not too sure really. Sorry for such a poorly structured response …
Another way to do this is by cutting Anakin’s link with Luke and Leia instead of cutting his link with Vader. This way we can see how Anakin became Vader. This makes Obi Wan’s story to Luke a little bit more believable because we could assume that Vader killed Luke’s father in Order 66. And if the prequels are edited so Anakin isn’t this glorified chosen one who’s a cunning warrior and a great pilot and won’t make Obi’s description of Luke’s father meet Anakin. The only downside is that you have to cut Anakin being referred to as a Skywalker and when Luke and Leia are born, they’ll have to remain anonymous. But itll allow us to see how Anakin became Vader and all the references to Vader being Obi’s apprentice will mean something.
I really like the dub for the neimodians its probably the most threatening that I’ve heard them. I just don’t know about this child Queen idea. If Padme isn’t the queen, wouldn’t keeping the Queen’s voice the same be a good idea to make sure we can tell them apart?
Hi I’ve got a request for anyone who can do it. For my edit, I need a shot at the beginning of the film to introduce the Federation invasion since that’s where my film will start. Is it possible for someone to paint out the “Negotiations” ship from the opening shot? This is so we are left with an empty star feild which pans across to a shot of the blockade. It would be really helpful 😃
