^ what he said. The Yoda scene can be used to help Luke realise that with Rey, he should train her outside of the old Jedi traditions.
It’s a very warm scene which then can lead into the Luke/Rey training scene. The whole thing should feel quite triumphant.
The TROS training scene could just be useful the improve the pacing a tad. It’s basically Rey swinging and slicing. It could even be cut in to pretend that she’s doing this on the island itself with a touch of recolouring .
I think the montage should be longer. The beginning of the montage is a great transition from the original cut of TFA.
Possible scenes could be:
.Rey training scene from TROS
.Luke and Yoda scene from TLJ
.The legendary broom kid scene
.maybe all three?

For a rough proof on concept, I can see what youre trying to acheive. This is gonna work gloriously. My only concern is maybe the final scene, the montage is great but it is cut off quite short for the end of the saga. I’m sure you could find a scene from The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker to amend that though. I’m really looking forward to this 😃
Ok I would like to apologize then for my comment. I see now that you were only trying to use others edit to compare and for no other reason.
The idea sounds great. Mandalorians way of story telling can significantly benefit the Clone Wars and having a mix of smaller, standalone episodes and more lengthy, show defining ones will be a great watch all round.
I think the tagging system will work well as almost a built in viewers guide. It’s gonna do the show a whole lot of good.
With my thin-skinned comment put aside, I wish you luck in this project.

I think the narration idea could work well for an 8 episode saga, keeping it true to the originals.
As for Film I, you could always splice the intro from the malevolence arc into the opening?
That’s fair to be honest- I just guess I made it easier for younger people or slower readers.
If anyone does want to add too, remove from, restructure or take inspiration from these edits feel free. If you do decide to share and host your versions, just do it in a now forum and give a small credit.

Hey everyone, I’m just asking everyone whose recieved their link whether the edits have downloaded properly.
For me, at this moment So far, the best aproach is to include most of the 1st ep, the beggining of the 2nd, and then transition to 3rd.for eg. they meet the NT patrol, the mando starts to escape, then some nice transition to him landing with His piece of junk on the water planet. It would suggest the obvious outcome of the meeting with the Xwings 😉 or do a transition from him saying it May go wrong without hyperspace goin, and then we See the wreckage of His ship landing 😅
I second this idea. It’ll add to the comedy the landing scene originally had.
I haven’t quite decided yet. Maybe Rebels, maybe Mandalorian, maybe something with the Skywalker films. For now I’m gonna not worry too much.

This show has been great to work on since I was 10 when the 2008 film came out and throughout the series I always wished the show could of released feature length cuts of certain stories. So I ended up doing that… at 22.
Now, I think I may start planning my next Star Wars project… after a short break 😉

I think the text crawl is something I’m having the most trouble with. I’m terrible at wording things. But here’s what I’ve got down at the moment:
Episode I:
A Galaxy Divided! More systems have alligned with the Seperatists in their war against the Republic.
Crime Lord Jabba The Hutt also seeks help as his son has been kidnapped by a rival band of pirates.
Can the Jedi bring peace to these corrupt Separatist planets and to the Hutt Clan?
Episode II:
Seperatist Leader Poggle The Lesser has returned to Geonosis to counteract its Republic control.
Using the once-captured planet, he creates terrifying new droid factories to fight the Jedi’s Clone Army.
Can the Republic recapture Geonosis and shut down Poggle’s factories once and for all?
Episode III:
Showdown! Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi have clashed with Asajj Ventress in the Sullust system.
However, this battle will not go how Count Dooku’s prized assassin had planned it.
What lies in the future for Ventress, as she leads her ships into this galactic dogfight?
Episode IV:
After another clash with Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul and Savage Opress were left for dead and stranded in space.

As you can guess, Each line is each ‘page’ in the crawl, theres enough time in the opening to make the crawl a tad long but I feel I just need some help tweaking a few lines.
Also after a few test renders. These babys wont take long. I’m just interested on knowing what file sizes suit people. In the test renders the movies where coming out from 10-12Gb. I’m wondering if people want them down to about 5-7Gb?
Hey guys. Just Letting you know the credits have been finished. I used a bit of a cheat method but the creators behind each episode get their name on the screen.
To answer some replies:
. I am using Sony Vegas Pro for editing, which is more than capable for what I needed it for. I am editing them as Mp4 but my aim was to make them as losless quality as possible on my end. But of course when rendering it, I will aim to keep each movie 8GB or under; so compression might be nessecary.
. Expanded Universes- I noticed your edits down here! It was cool to see someone was on my wavelength. With regards to how I handled CWIV. It was the only way I can picture the S2 Mando arc fitting into one of the movies. Having that arc on its own wouldn’t be flashy enough (or long enough). I also tried all with intercutting it with CWI or CWII. But this way works best.
Another thing about The Clone Wars IV is that in order to keep the story Mandalore themed and to have Pre Visla capture Maul at the beginning. S05E01 (Revival) has been cut from the edits. It just breaks the flow too much. In the CWIV crawl, I give a small explination that the Maul brothers clash with the jedi a 2nd time and are now left for dead in space. I think the average viewer wouldn’t dive too deeply into it.
If anyone cares about what I’ve written for the text crawls, I’m happy to give some exerpts.
I would like to apologise for my original project falling through. You can imagine what real world events impacted my life and took all the motivation out of this hobby. But over this year, the urge to edit came back, admitidley with a different plan.
My Clone Wars edits will now take the form of 6 movies. They are shorter than the average Star Wars film but with my new focus on overall run time, this allows more arcs to be efficiently covered. To watch all 6 films will take you 9hrs 23mins.
Here are the edits I will be making:
ClONE WARS I (1hr 27mins) -
This is the 2008 movie with the Ziro/Padme subplot cut, taking 20 minutes of the runtime.
CLONE WARS II (1hr 27mins) -
The Geonosis arc uncut.
CLONE WARS III (1hr 30mins) -
This edit covers The Nightsisters arc and The S4 Maul arc. The edit only runs for 90 minutes after the less essential episodes where stripped down a bit.
CLONE WARS IV (1hr 54mins) -
This edit takes on both S2 and S5 Mandalore arcs. The S2 arc is edited in like a flashback after Pre Visla captures the Maul Brothers. This is the longest edit at 105 minutes with the S2 arc being cut down to 45 minutes.
CLONE WARS V (1hr 28mins) -
The Ashoka sobatage arc uncut.
CLONE WARS VI (1hr 37mins) -
The full final Clone Wars arc. I intend for this movie to be watched after ROTS, therefore I moved the Vader scene to the beginning. The rest of the movie will play out like a flashback.
The edits will use The Rogue One type scroll instead of the narration. Apart from that, I wanted to keep the look and feel the same.
Although all won’t be perefect, I did my absolute best with the footage I had to create the smoothest video/audio transtions.
Im leaving the film title as The Clone Wars I, II, III, etc. because personally, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a long enough. The numerals will simply show which installment of the movie it is.
I hope this something you guys would like to see.
I’ve just finished this edit and I had sucha good time watching it.
I think we all know that 2.5 hours is long for a Star Wars movie but everything in this edit was 100% needed.
The edit had a nicely-paced 3 part structure with the ensemble cast being introduced throughout Mandos adenture; no character got the short straw in order to cut minutes.

The only thing I need to say is I personally prefer the original Mandolorian opening without the crawl and classic theme. Would a version like that be possible? If not, its not important 😃 thanks again.
I’m basically leaving the film as it is but I’m taking out the Padme/Ziro the Hutt subplot. It just slows the last act down for me really. The episode is 15 minutes shorter without it
Oh yeah I’m doing them individually.
I’ve basically got the arcs put together and I’m just running through them, ensuring they are edited probably. It’s mainly the music cues that are the challenge.
It’s been a productive day!
The first 7 arcs are almost ready to be rendered and uploaded. I just need to give them one last check through.
