Explain Your Username / Avatar / Title / Signature
Time

Username: Religious epithet Simpsons reference and inside joke I had with my friends a long time ago. I’ve tried in the past to shed the name, but it’s attached to so many things I use that I just gave up and embraced it.

Avatar: At the moment it’s Vader. I thought it looked cool.

Signature: “It’s difficult to physically measure disappointment, but I’m going to have to say lifelong”

It was a response I read somewhere else to the question “without using physical measurements, describe the length of your member.” Thought it was funny and just self-deprecating enough so I shamelessly stole it.

The Philippines are our allies and they are in the range of North Korea so it seems reasonable that a President would try having some civil discourse with their leader to help bolster the safety of the region and any civilians within reach.

It’s not idiotic by any means but you can’t please everyone. Unless of course, one doesn’t care about people dying, as long as it isn’t themselves.

Duderte is still five cans short of a six pack. (Trumpy at least has five.) Must we always get in bed with morally despicable people? He’s as bad as Ferdinand Marcos and his crazy shoe hoarding wife.

The Suadi’s are our allies and they bankroll tons of crap that isn’t likeable but I don’t hear anyone bitching about them?

*screams internally*

Are you implying that those who dislike Duterte don’t care about people dying? Because that’s just incorrect.

The whole problem with Duterte is that he openly advocates for genocide/mass murder. The guy favorably compared himself to Hitler!

I despise the Jabba’s place sequence.

You don’t like Luke slaughtering Jabba’s whole guard staff and then destroying the sail barge… .which not only had all Jabba’s buddies on it… but bartenders, waitresses and other staff.

Man - that’s kind of messed up really 😃

There’s a couple of good things in that sequence, I like Luke force-choking the guards, and I like the barge sequence, but there’s just too much that I don’t like surrounding the good things.

If you hadn’t noticed … you are the only one complaining.

So, when a single person points out your stupid behaviour, it’s irrelevant, after all that’s just one person. But when multiple people make the same point, they are some ominous ‘posse’ that can be disregarded.

Why Didn't Qui Gon Gin's Body Disappear Like Obiwan's and Yoda's?
Time

(Speculation) Anakin didn’t learn to become a force-ghost the same way that Yoda and Ben did, he only turned into one because he was conceived of the force.

(Canon) Qui-Gon didn’t complete his training with the Force Priestesses so he was unable to manifest physically, only as a voice.

I suppose my argument is that they both turn into force-ghosts, but not the same way that Yoda and Ben did. Yoda and Ben’s method required the body to “disappear”.

He’s a Kaleesh that was transformed into a cyborg. Pretty much the only parts that remain of his original body are his eyes, brain, and the rest of his organs.

OK. Basically another Vader with more stuff damaged/replaced. Since the lung obviously doesn’t work properly either, I would have replaced that as well.

If the lung itself is the force bearer that might be the reason to keep it.

Silly, but… well.

He’s not force sensitive, so that’s a good point. It’s clear the lung wasn’t working correctly, so they should’ve replaced it.

After they got done operating on him the first time and wheeled him in front of a mirror, he probably decided then and there to avoid any more surgical procedures at all costs.

I believe in canon he volunteered to be turned into a cyborg, and it was done over several years, at least according to these statues that show him at different stages of the process;

In Legends, however, his ship was bombed by Dooku and he was turned into Grievous to “save his life”. It’s very possible in Legends that he just didn’t want his lungs fixed after what was done to him initially, not sure what the reason is in canon, though.
