I agree. When I first read the leaks online I knew that it all depended on the delivery of that line for it to be cringe or not. I like this delivery way more.

Hal, I know you just made it quite clear that you only want a Rey Nobody edit, but would it be possible to still have an optional file without those changes?
One thought I had recently regarding the Force ghost Ben angle, why not just Ben and Leia? That way it focuses on them finally reunited, and we donāt have to debate whether Anakin should be involved with this Skywalker family get together.
Then her declaration wouldnāt make sense as Leia is an Organa and Ben a Solo.

They run, EXPLOSIONS rattle the ship, and pipes continue to burst around them, spilling more fuel into the hallway. At the far end, SIX SUPER BATTLE DROIDS drop into the fuel. The SOUNDS OF SHIELD DOORS CLOSING AND LOCKING ECHO throughout the hallway. They pass several large power generators, which are topped with SPARKING excess power dischargers.
ANAKIN: Theyāre sealing this section off.
OBI-WAN: Six droids coming our way!
The last of the DOORS CAN BE HEARD CLOSING in the distance.
ANAKIN: Keep moving. There must be vents . . . This way.
They move along a wall. ANAKIN climbs up the side to a small vent. The fuel gets closer to the SPARKING dischargers.
OBI-WAN: Weāll never get through that. Itās too small!
They move toward a second vent. OBI-WAN is swimming in the fuel as it reaches to within a couple yards of the ceiling. ANAKIN feels along the ceiling and finds another smaller vent. He closes his eyes and tries to sense an opening, then he moves on. OBI-WAN is forced into hand-to-hand combat with one of the SUPER BATTLE DROIDS. It pulls the Jedi under the fuel. Just before he is about to drown, OBI-WAN disables the SUPER BATTLE DROID by pushing him into an exhaust pipe.
The fuel is up to the Jediās chins. ANAKIN finds a very, very small metal grate, then pounds on it until the tiny grate breaks loose.
ANAKIN: I found our escape vent.
OBI-WAN: Anakin, this is no time for jokes. Weāre in serious trouble here.
ANAKIN: Only in your mind. My Master. Look, no structure. . . .
ANAKIN grabs the side of the tiny hole and gives it a big yank, ripping a large panel loose revealing a āman-sizedā work shaft. They scramble through it as the DROIDS swim closer.And also, hereās a (final?) cut of the Star Tours clip with some new SFX and score added to try and seemlessly cut 3 clips together
The second jump in quality is almost unnoticeable (probably since Iām on my phone). Although I can still see a jump in the first one. Honestly, I can probably look past that screen showing them in a hallway even though theyāre in the hangar if itās for the best.

If I may, I would recommend your alternate Shaak-Ti clip with the extra space battle shot before the scene. This way, nothing needs to be cut, and it follows the original script better.
I donāt know if the clip works, the camera work isnāt quite like anything in the film, and is a bit short. Iād like it if it was a bit longer but currently its not going to work, sorry.

Iām actually surprised at how well that works, although the cut out of the footage feels a little abrupt with the camera movement.
The footage is supposed to be much longer but since itās from Star Tours 2 they only released a small portion of it digitally. Perhaps it could be cut even shorter to prevent that abruptness? But then it doesnāt work as well to imply a passage of time.
I know you said that the clip wouldnāt work but I went ahead and made an example of it just to show you what I meant. The camera work is actually quite similar to the intro of the movie, but I know what you mean that it might not fit.

The clip works well in my opinion! Only problem I can see is that the alien says: āTwo jedi have landed in the main hanger bay, weāre tracking them.ā arenāt they still cutting down the droids at this point? Why do they need to be tracked through the ship if they arenāt running around like the hologram suggests?
I also noticed this and mentioned it earlier. That infrared screen shows them running through a hallway. The only problem is that Iām not sure what else to do about that.
I was going over the most recent draft of the crawl, and while itās very good, I have just one suggestion.

I agree, I think starting the sentence with āToā seems a bit off.
I have a nitpick of my own, but its more just a personal preference. Does anybody else feel like the sequel content really beat us over the head with the spark/flame metaphor? Similar to how Rogue One and modern OT-era content seems throw the word āhopeā around with reckless abandon. Personally, I appreciate those types of metaphors more in smaller doses. I would love to see that particular line swapped to something like āIn order to prevent an uprising, the First order has scatteredā¦ā But maybe thatās just me.
I am genuinely curious if anybody else feels the same way about the use of spark/flame/hope stuff though? Cool beans.
I think an āupRISINGā fits in nicely with the title of the movie too.

I decided to do my own take on Halās crawl:

Switched up the Shaak Ti scene once more by moving the Grevious intro back again and splitting the hanger scene in half, implying that R2 takes time to find Palps, as well as trimming the Grevious walk to the window to move things along a bit faster.
Unfortunately Iām not sure that works either. The infrared screen clearly shows Anakin and Obi-Wan sprinting through a hallway, but then the camera goes back and theyāre still in the hangar bay.

Iāve been considering using some Grevious lines from the game to replace the redunant lightsaber collection line and tried out a few here.

Because it wasnāt in the movie, thatās why. Who knows, maybe that was part of the reason it got deleted.
I honestly prefer the old order of things when it comes to the Shaak-Ti scene. It seems strange that Grievous magically teleports from the bridge to where Anakin and Obi-Wan are in a matter of seconds.
Looks good! That was the one scene I was wondering if you would be able to put back in. Although definitely feel free to try out that other order to see if it works out.

Since it comes from a PS2 game Iām pretty sure the resolution was poor. It would have been too jarring.
Perhaps put some quiet SFX of Kyloās lightsaber, blasters, thuds, etc. that gradually get louder
